Duke's coach said that this is what happens to a young team, they get here but when everything is on the line, and you setup the perfect play, it still requires a freshman to hit a game-winning shot. He's made that play all season, but experience is earned not given, and being on the biggest stage where the world is on your shoulders, it'll happen. Feel for the kid, he's likeable. I would say he needs another year of maturity because he's not ready for LeFlop.
Fell asleep before the second game ended, probably from all the energy I expelled raging at the refs in our game. Shocked to wake up to see we are playing Houston .
Another big 10 seconds (as my wife is known to say) was earlier with Houston down like 15 and the game likely over. They hit a three and as the ball goes through the hoop an inadvertent elbow hits a Houston player. Rather than a Duke ball it is a flagrant one with two shots and the ball. Then Houston makes to, gets the ball and made another 2. It was essentially a 7 point swing on one series. From down 15 to down 8 in one series....Ive never seen that one before.
Duke couldn't stop a team that only averaged 68 pts a game, they'd have never stopped us when it counted. 9-0 run in the last minute by Houston.
Broome I think was a lot more hurt then he let on. Adrenaline carried him in the beginning but you can’t play 40 minutes on adrenaline.
Agreed and even though Condon didn't do much offensively, he seriously frustrated Broome on D and that was demonstrated by both the uncalled two hand shove and the called obvious charge. I'm sure he thought he would get away with it considering the way the game was called.
Yes. Definitely too much brisket and definitely not too much of any type of beverage.....lol I thought it was a little dry, but everyone was raving about it, so I'll take the W.
I saw that as well and read another article where that was cited. The foul was really Cooper holding Walker’s arm from the back which wasn’t clear at all when viewing from the main camera angle inside the lane…
