Look at the relentless EFFORT Alex is making, even as others in the media and here dismiss his contribution to the team. Alex is NOT listening to your judgment, he’s likely not listening to the prideful, selfish voice inside his head demanding him to “be the man” and if he is hearing it, he is willing himself to overcome it. His moment may yet come, and we have seen it all year when one player struggles someone else steps up. I’m not sure if enough people commenting dismissively of Alex have played a team sport.

 

No kidding, duh. In the game, they kept showing him in the stands

 

So damn excited, could barely sleep last night after the game. I hope the team takes it easy today to recover, and hope the trainers do their best job of the year. Our coaches scouting Houston is incredibly important. Golden has more than proved his worth during this tourney. On Monday, bring it like your hair is on fire!

 

Agree 100% but wish this sentiment was expressed towards all players on the team. I have seen posts on here criticizing Clayton and questioning his effort which is crazy even for Gator fanatics. Certainly at this point of the season everybody is locked in and giving it all they have. Some nights it's not your night and some nights your contributions may not show up on the box score. The beauty of this game is that on Monday night he could be the guy who steps up to get us over the finish line.

Walter Clayton has "clutch gene". Although their games are somewhat different he reminds of Michael Jordan, both Walter Clayton and MJ have the gift of being able to score under pressure when the game is the on the line.

 

Pay no attention to those losers. They don't even know how to be a good fan. They wouldn't ever get close to being a teammate.

 

It's amazing how many people don't even understand the basic concept of what a team is.
