What do make of those that fell for the idiot anti vaxxers on YouTube and are still denying reality?

 

Absolutely stupid people not just every day morons would discourage someone like Musk from helping streamline the government.

 

The executive isn't going to streamline for free. Congress is the only branch that can force cuts and make them permanent. I assure you Musk doesn't work for free, just look at Space X and starlink contracts for Ukraine.

 

The people that put a laughing emoji/emoticon on your post do NOT care about how many American children die from that dangerous clot-shot.

 

I think he’s benching himself. He’s cut less one than 1% of the $2 trillion of “waste” he said he’d find and cut and in the process made himself one of the most hated people in the world. Not a good look for a guy who main gig is selling cars. But he’ll be fine,he set himself up with some billion dollar contracts and is ready to go…

 

And this, amongst so many other things—including complete ignorance over government function and service, not the least of which is government is not designed to run at a profit, of part of the problem.

Musk has countless conflicts of interest that make his cuts and recommendations suspect at the get-go. And then there is his political motives vs. real motivation to eliminate waste.

As so many of us have said, an INDEPENDENT review of government would be welcomed and cheered. The absurdity of what happened will prove to be disastrous in the coming years.

 

It's already happened, don't have to wait for consequences. We had to stop buying equipment because purchase cards were stopped. The IG audits our command every year so those that think we don't know how much we are spending is bs. We account for every dollar and labor hour. Trust me, if I charge one hour over on a particular charge code, I get told by our financial folks with a CC to my supervisor. That's been going on for decades.

We recently had to cancel a trip to Australia for testing. This is already here. The CR is going to hurt us big time. All our plans for FY 25 got thrown in the toilet, and will ripple through the next decade.

I was in the govt the last time we had shutdowns and furloughs in 2013. It took us about 7 years to recover. We were just about caught up in 2019-2020 then COVID hit.

And btw for all the pubs, it hurts the small businesses a lot more. We bail out the big ones like Lockheed and Boeing and the small ones go belly up.

 

Fire people responsible for our nuclear arsenal only to hire them back because you didn't realize they're important. Must streamlining government? Only the cult members believe that

Looks like Elon is distancing himself from Trump’s tariff stupidity and saying there should be no tariffs with the EU… then calls out Trump’s economic adviser and main tariff pusher Peter Navarro ….

“A PhD in Econ from Harvard is a bad thing, not a good thing,” Musk posted about Navarro’s academic background. The Tesla CEO also added of Navarro: “He ain’t built sh*t.”
