I love watching one of my 401K accounts drop by tens of thousands of dollars a day. It’s so … invigorating.

There is a reason that every economist that examines trade was looking at the numbers and couldn't figure out how the Trump administration determined the tariff and non-tariff rates by country. Their method is so absurd that everybody that knows how to do it for real were unable to even imagine how you would end up with those numbers. It required a non-expert (who figured it out first) because he wasn't burdened with the knowledge of how to actually do this in reality. Essentially, it was too stupid for the people with actual background to fathom.

Then they released the actual formula...and, somehow, it was even more stupid because they added in terms and then assumed them to values that made the terms disappear after pushing back that the formula was based in the economics literature (it wasn't).

One thing you have to respect about MAGA is that they call it like they see it no matter who is in office. If Biden had done this same thing, they'd all still be here preaching patience and explaining that it's just temporary.

 

Almost 10 trillion wiped out of stocks since inauguration. And 5 trillion in 2 days. And that’s just domestic, probbaly another 5 trillion or more international.. That’s a decade or 2 worth of tariff costs they are trying to save us from.
Again, in two 2 days. Think about the absolute incompetence (masked in idiotic bravado) it takes to pull that off.

and before it gets around to the markets, we learn that a Biden green energy wind turbine was trashed by lightening and, of course, transgenders.
