He is a phenom. Strength. Size. Decent speed for his stature. His weight will run him out of the league. His lack of endurance will run him out of the league, with a short stop at a taxi squad somewhere. ( I have been reminded by my betters, taxi squad may be inadequate…reserves..non starters) lol His weight will kill him prematurely. The league is littered with the physical phenoms who could not play the vicious game of pro football for very long. GOD SPEED DEZ.
It is interesting though how he never misses a game. His joints must be a freak of nature for him to do that.
Years ago I gained 15 lbs over a period of 6-8 months. I was in a grocery store and picked up a 10lb bag of potatoes and thought that was a lot of unneeded weight to carry around. I shed the weight fairly quickly and the relief I felt on my knees was noticeable. I can only imagine what Dez is feeling. He’s been a great Gator and is an amazing football player. I wish the best for him, but hopefully some people close to him have warned him about carrying that much weight.
Vince Wilfork and Ted Washington had long careers at weights approaching , if not achieving, 400 pounds. However, we all know less is better. We will see.
Can any of the mods spell? Maybe fix the thread title? Acknowledged in the 4th post, still not corrected.
I am no doctor, but several family members had trauma to the knee. Brother man, as you say, there ain’t much there…it is a miracle we can walk at all, much less carry a quarter ton in combat.
Good for you. Depends what weight you are gaining. After 3 months of the Academy, and limited food during that time..I was placed on training table for football. One normal meal per day. I went from 176 to 190 in 6 days. That is the other end of the scale.
