My link focused on total spending. The excerpt that you cited focused solely on ad spending. Musk also funded a (unsuccessful) ground game employing a large number of paid canvassers.

Musk’s America PAC has sent paid canvassers across Wisconsin since early February, before conservative Brad Schimel advanced in a nonpartisan primary to face liberal Susan Crawford for an open seat on the state’s highest court, where liberal justices hold a 4-3 majority and retirement this year of a liberal justice puts majority control of the court in play.

Over the eight weeks since, canvassers are expected to have reached hundreds of thousands of potential Schimel voters, based on the more than $4.3 million alone that spending records a week before the election showed America PAC had poured into this labor-intensive aspect of the campaign.

Yes, the Dems "won" two "birds in the bush," and the Pubs won two actual House of Representative members of Congress.

Were you OK with it when Florida got even more gerrymandered than it already was?

Topping a taco with cheddar or colby? How to say you are white without saying you are white. :)

Had a buddy years ago that used to say it. Always wondered why and where he got it from.

nevermind. didn't lose, made a positional gain

can someone explain what his definition of a positional gain may be? national discussion of judges roles?? did he need to spend tens of millions on that

Musk said Wisconsin would decide the fate of Western civilization. Now he says he ‘expected to lose.’ - POLITICO

“I expected to lose, but there is value to losing a piece for a positional gain,” Musk replied to an X user early Wednesday morning.

WI probably not one of the bigger tourist destinations in the U.S. If one goes, though, Madison is a really nice balance between metro and medium size town. Good food culture and as doc mentions, they sure know how to brew beer. Bayfield is also a nice spot if you like isolated pristine nature. Take the ferry to Madeleine Island. If you really like adventure, kayak to the Apostle Islands - but bring a wetsuit.
