Pretty sure Golden is fully aware of transfers, recruiting now, while also taking care of Final Four business. The guy is just absurdly smart and seems 2 steps ahead.

It is definitely another flaw in a very flawed system. However, Coach has said a number of times we recruit guys who want to be Gators. If that's the case, those guys are hanging tight until we're done playing, and if they're not, then they didn't want to be Gators and they werent right for the program anyway.
I hope someone on the staff is reaching out to players. Out of respect, I understand Golden not getting involved, but just can't sit by and let other teams pick up big time transfers.

We have plenty of staffers to do this. But we aren't going to be actively recruiting anyone, hosting visits, evaluating film. There's three weeks before the portal entry closes. They expect this to be the busiest market since revenue sharing may be on the horizon, so we won't lack for options. Need a couple of guys to stay competitive next year, but this staff can afford to be selective now. It will also be focusing its NIL and recruiting efforts on retaining its own players, then recruiting 2026 and 2027 kids.
