season one and two, abysmal. 8-5 last season with a final four game win streak, pretty good. This season could be improved over last. Run the damn Baugh!
I congratulate Free Shoes U for having an almost winless season. This coming season I hope they make it all the way.
Finebaum has become the official "sear" and critic of College Football. I quit watching him a while ago (I prefer Gator Pod-casters). Hi new role and "shtick" is to insult, and put coaches and programs on the Hot Seat. His status as College Football "God-Head" shields him from critics and lets face it, his insults garner attention, clicks, and You Tube "likes". I'm not surprised at all with his 4 game losing streak prediction. Hell I expect it.
What I hope for is ‘a’ Billy that shows that he is willing to adapt to the times not continue to try and prove that what he has held to works. The days of building a Defense that utterly strangles teams and only ‘complimenting’ it with an efficient O that doesn’t put its D under stress are over. The rules favor O. Hopefully B will get with it and move beyond his ‘1980’s’ pro style philosophy and take advantage of the talent that the state of and the UF roster presently has among its skill athletes. If not, he can just ‘get with it’ and move on.
Finebaum is only significant to himself. I have no reason to listen to that homer. His opinion has no impact on what will actually happen. None. Zero. Nada.
1st of all Very tough schedule Long Island and South Florida at home for the 1st two games. Tennessee and Fsu at home for our last two. We win all 4 IMO. The other 8 are At Lsu At Texas AM At Ole Miss At Kentucky At Miami Uga at Jax Miss st Texas 6 of 8 are not at The Swamp..... 9-3 should get us to the playoffs
I will readily admit that I am a glass half full Gator. I am extremely excited about our chances next year. We have the talent and experience in the entire team. DJ will be key and I do not buy the bologna sold by hooligans on his physical status. He is good to go and will take the team to unexpected places. The spring game and practices for him were unnecessary. However, I believe that we located a real back up QB in Harrison Bailey. Go Gators!
As noted spring break. And ..you don’t want to know what they are doing. When they are back, things are as tight as ever. We complain but it doesn’t change.anything. The choice is to read others summaries..or hope for daily briefings which we know show nothing. Up to you. I would not listen to generalizing pronouncements by coaches under any circumstances..any coaches throughout the last 30 years. You will learn more from Donzo
Mostly agree with above, except our receivers lost valuable practice time with DJ to get in sync. Also, while I think Harrison is a real backup quarterback, should he be pressed into action, he doesn’t appear to have the DJ’s arm for the long ball and our offensive scheme may require curtailing should that happen… That said, I take CBN‘s word that DJ will be healthy and practicing soon and 100% for the fall. If most of our other walking wounded return as well, I don’t see why we can’t be in every game we play this year.
Who TF watched or listened to tea cups ears? That's the first problem. Secondly, he's the skinniest biggest troll in SEC sports media. I don't know how L'aura can sit there beside TC without laughing during gameday. Okay. I apologize for making fun of someone. I'm normally à decent person.
Personally, I don't care about Finebaum. As for the Gators, they did better last year than I thought they would with the brutal schedule they had. So hats off to Billy Napier for making progress. The 2025 schedule is equally rough, with more tough road games. It does appear the team has more high quality players with more depth at most positions. Lagway needs to be at 100% and missing spring concerns me a little, but he has plenty of time to get in sync with his receivers before the season starts. Personnel wise, the keys to me are going to be the health and overall play of the offensive line and how well the defensive front can stop the run and put consistent pressure on the QB. My main concern, however, is the play calling. I just wish we had a more innovative guy calling plays.
