Whatever makes you feel better about voting for someone who has regularly and repeatedly told public racist lies.
That's what I'm trying to say. Trump is wrong for doing this. I'm glad you are starting to come to your senses and agree with me.
So in your opinion Trump hasn't told innumerable public racist lies - they're just outright lies about ...... certain nationalities. Or religions. You must be proud to vote for such a fine person.
First of all, there is a difference between "bitching about" someone and telling lies to denigrate them. Second, when Trump tells lies about immigrants from Haiti, exactly why is he telling these lies? We have immigrants from almost every country around the world, yet the ones from Haiti are so bad that Trump has to tell lies to insult them to his followers. Why? Could it be because they have a darker skin color than the pasty-white Norwegian immigrants? It's certainly not because there is actual evidence of Haitian immigrants eating neighborhood pets. I wonder who would be the target audience for this set of lies? Could it be, ohh, I don't know . . . RACISTS ? ! ! !
So you tell me why Trump told those lies. What is it about Haitians that made Trump tell those lies? What made them a convenient scapegoat that would resonate with large numbers of Trump's White, native-born followers? Of course, Trump could not generalize with lies about black people eating pets, or he'd lose 13% of the vote and couldn't be elected to anything. He also would want to tie this to his anti-immigrant rhetoric, but he could not tie this to all black immigrants because he might lose enough votes to not be elected president. Picking on a single small, defenseless immigrant community, even if they were here legally, is the safest way to go. Trump's racist followers would be able to fill in the blanks as to where this is headed. Interesting that you don't have an issue with the lying part. Some people might expect Trump to condemn a group of people with the truth, and not slander a group of people with lies, but not you. You give him a free pass for his lies.
Nobody is saying we need to bulldoze Arlington, but the reason Confederate soldiers are buried there at all is that their veterans petitioned it at a time when the Nation was trying to heal around 1900. The property, Arlington House, having belonged to Robert E. Lee and his wife and the Union wanted to make sure they could not think of going home after the war so they turned it into a National Cemetary as ⅓ of all battles were fought within 100 miles of Washington D.C. My ancestors fought for the Union in various WV, PA, and OH units.
They're not a race although considering that over 95% of Haitian immigrants are Black there is a definite strong element of racism in Trump's targeting of Haitians.
So, your rule is, if you criticize a group that is mostly black, it's racist. Like if you bashed the NBA, it would be racist but bashing the NHL wouldn't be. Seems as though you have different rules for different races.
It certainly should be acceptable to discuss history but why would you want to highlight slavery in 2025 other than to keep racial animosity alive? It's always the democrats wanting to focus on slavery. Why is that? Maybe they like perpetuating that 90% voting bloc.
