The 3 fouls on Richard hurts. He's a better defender than Aberdeen. TT's game plan of trying to keep our guards from shooting 3's is working well for them. Richard hasn't taken a 3, Clayton is 0-3, Martin 0-1, Aberdeen 1-2. Despite our major size advantage, which is affecting their shots somewhat, they are holding their own on the board, especially on their offensive end. We missed too many chippies, 5 turnovers to their 3, but TT has 10 points off our tournovers, we only have 5 off theirs. While they have no fast break points, we only have 4, so TT is doing a very good job of neutralizing our strengths - so far. We're winning because we're 10-10 at the free throw line and they're only 2-6. This game is up for grabs and I'm interested to see what Coach Golden has them doing differently the 2nd half - or maybe just doing what we do better.

It's as if the refs want to keep the game close and interesting and if it appears more fouls are called on them they look to even things up. Two fouls called on us for sure were BS.

 

He went down hard at the end. Wonder if he hurts his hand or wrist. He kind of just laid there for a sec.

 

Agree that people shouldn't go after the refs. They make mistakes here and there, but are good and have no bias. These are not SEC refs - These are guys with tons of NCAA tournament experience who call games at this level about as well as can be done considering all the physical play that is allowed anymore. 25 years ago, this level of physicality wasn't allowed.

 

Studio said he would be MOP of the region if it ended today.
