Let’s do it sir! Just pulled the trigger on flights now I just gotta snag a ticket. Shouldn’t be too hard based on what I’m seeing in the secondary market. PM me and we’ll exchange numbers to meet up and start drinking!
Sure sounds like you have earned some brownie points along the way. Go for it and do both. This from a close to 57th anniversary person.
In 1994 my wife and I got tickets for the Final Four in Charlotte and had it all planned out. On the day we were leaving our 3 year old caught chicken pox. My wife is a Gator. We left our son with his baby sitter. He survived. And he doesn't need therapy for this. Both our kids got to attend the 2007 Final Four and are Gator fans and understand.
DM sent! Safe travels! I have a single ticket in 121 but will upgrade if the opportunity presents itself...
If you hadn’t mentioned all you do for your kids, I would have said discuss with her. But, you do a ton every day and she knows it; she can do many things she wants to do often. It’s not worth getting into a massive dust up about this and I suspect she would be fine with your SF sojourn. Frankly, I think you do far more than most dad’s do. I think y’all have a symbiotic relationship with respect to shared duties. These years like this one don’t come up often so hopefully you can attend and cheer us to victory!
I'd lean toward waiting for the FF, but you might mix up a beautiful cocktail and serve up two of them before asking the wife about SanFran. Best option is finding a family member to watch the kid while you and your wife head to SanFran and/or SanAntonio.
This was the person who's advice should be heeded. I say that based on his long-term and well-documented excursions to the SECt. BTW - I love to hear that a jock's kids are participating in band and piano. This is a clear indicator of good parenting. You go Brent!
Great thread. As a daddy of a 3-month old beautiful future Gator, I love to hear the stories of seasoned parents. I'm probably older than everyone on here cept maybe @GatorLurker, but by the grace of God have a child in mine and my wife's ripe age. I have a new respect for y'all who have raised kids. The dude with 3 and the tipping tricycles, etc. made my heart feel good cause raising a kid is CRAY. I'm doing my job + covering the wife's job (we are professors in the same program) while she is on leave and it's nutz. Somehow, I'm still able to watch the Gator games. Anyway, thanks to all the parents out there and thanks to @twodaparty for your spirited threads. It all makes life that much better.
Everybody does. He walks up and you instantly know who it is without having ever met him previously. The walking life of the party. Go GATORS! ,WESGATORS
