Very poor at bats tonight and almost everyone seemed listless but like xenythx said we slumped last year also and almost every season around this time. I’ve got faith they’ll get hot at the right time again this season.

 

I think we jsut flush it and move on. We haven't been our best but I trust we will be firing on all cylinders again before the seasons over. We're still honestly a very young team and we'll be just fine. We had a bunch of head scratchers last year. Not overly concerned.

 

I'm seeing on another thread that Rothrock could be out another 4 weeks.

Goodness, but at the moment we are pitiful on the diamond (baseball/softball). Hope things will turn around for the positive.

 

Man, disappointment for both diamond teams so far (though to different degrees). Hopefully, some lessons are being learned during the hard times.

That wasn't fun to watch. The players were about as lifeless as I've seen in a long time. Gator hitters made UCF's hamburger pitcher look like filet mignon. (shaking head) CTW may as well have phoned in a forfeit to save UF fans who drove to Orlando the trouble.

 

No it definitely wasn’t fun to watch but it’s almost funny how these things play out. It’s almost like a cyclical pattern in Gator softball every season. The causes are often different but this team slump always happens around this time. It’s like clockwork, so reliable the ancients could plant crops around it lol. Fortunately, like clockwork the Gators almost always come out of it and start playing their best when it matters most. I’ve got faith that will happen again this season. I’m nowhere close to saying oh well we’ll get em next year. Lots of softball left to play!

 

It feels like we have a losing record vs. UCF for all games/sports over the recent past.

 

Recent or all times? Statistics and facts can always be manipulated to paint whatever picture the painters want. UCF is on the up, good softball program. Are they the new FSU? No. Bad day at the ballpark. Stuff happens. Gator softball is in a very good place, this season and beyond.

 

Recently not all time. I remember losing a bowl football game and more than one baseball/softball game. We are fueling their self worth.

 

I’m frustrated too but come on man! Way too early for doom and gloom. I’m superstitious to the point I like to believe changing my shirt can affect the outcome of the game, I know it doesn’t but I change shirts anyway. What I do believe in is positivity, that can make a difference, albeit small difference but every inch and second counts. Let’s remain positive yall!

 

Who are these people and how could they have more insight into this program than us?

 

Self worth is a great quality, all should have it. I’ll hit the panic button when they start eliminating us from the WCWS.

 

Meh, just hit the reset button instead. When this season is over, the next will be right around the corner.

 

One season ends another begins, this is the way of things. You however should definitely hit the panic button on pollen. The plants are coming for you, personally I’d fear marky markys horrific acting over the plants but I’m not in your shoes.

Correct. But then there are recent baseball and softball games. I live in the Orlando area and hate to give them anything to crow about at our expense.

 

I know I'm in the minority, but our son and his wife are both UCF grads and live/work in Orlando. I always pull for the Knights except when they play the Gators.
