Could they actually win these three seats and flip the house? Why aren't the dems and so many others all in on these races? This seems to be the most important topic facing the country as it could neuter dt here and now Special elections to the 119th United States Congress (2025-2026) - Ballotpedia Special elections to U.S. Congress are required in the event of vacancies. This page is a compilation of all special elections to the 119th Congress in 2025-2026. As of March 2025, three special elections have been called to fill vacant seats in the 119th Congress. The following special elections are upcoming: Florida's 1st Congressional District on April 1, 2025 Florida's 6th Congressional District on April 1, 2025 Arizona's 7th Congressional District on September 23, 2025
The chances of flipping either Florida's 1st or 6th Congressional District are extremely slim. Similarly the voters of Arizona's 7th District will most likely elect another Democrat. Although the election hasn't been scheduled yet I do think the Democrats have a shot at flipping the seat of NY's 21st Congressional District previously held by Elise Stefanik.
Didn't two Democratic congressman recently die? I think those 3 special elections mentioned above will split 2-1 Republican but the Stevanik replacement election and those 2 recent vacancies will be later in the year.
not sure, i just find it surprising that the whole landscape could change via less than a handful of special elections and that would be the quickest way to neuter dear leader and his cult. can I buy a lot there now and get a vote now? would be worth buying up the damn county to stack the vote to change the direction of the country
not so fast my friend. I donated im sure elon will make up the $8M in funding difference. personally ready to do some door knocking myself. three seats. control the house. file impeachment charges. stop the madness 'Worried': GOP sweating that Dems could flip deep red House seat in upcoming election The reason for this, Sherman suggests, is that Democratic candidate Josh Weil has vastly outraised Trump-endorsed Republican rival Randy Fine. The vote is on April 1. "Just a massively stunning cash disparity in FL-6, where there will be a special next week to replace [Waltz]," Sherman wrote on X. "Democrat Josh Weil raised $9M and has $1.2M on hand. Republican Randy Fine raised $987,759 and has $92,693 on hand." The odds are still overwhelming that Fine will win the race, although Democratic operatives will be sure to pay close attention to the final margin, which could portend similar swings back toward Democrats in other upcoming special elections.
pennsylvania state senate seat went from +15 trump to dem. fingers crossed. only need 2 now that waltz chit the bed on the national security issue, hopefully voters in his district have seen enough maga to either vote dem or just stay home Republicans Grow Anxious About Florida Special Election WASHINGTON—Republican political operatives have grown concerned about a special election in Florida, with the race for a solidly red House seat emerging as more competitive than expected, creating a potential headache for the GOP two months into President Trump’s second term. While the party still largely expects candidate Randy Fine, a fiery Florida state lawmaker, to win former Rep. Mike Waltz’s 6th Congressional District seat, the party is rushing ahead of the April 1 election day to reach Republican voters and make sure they turn out. Waltz resigned the seat in the Daytona Beach area to become Trump’s national security adviser. Trump allies worry a weak showing in the Florida contest would be read—fairly or unfairly—as a referendum on the president’s record headed into the midterm elections in 2026, when control of the Senate and House are on the line. This year’s special House elections, along with other 2025 races, such as a state supreme court race in Wisconsin and the Virginia governor race, are set to be seen as indicators of how the electorate is feeling. “We have a candidate that I don’t think is winning,” said conservative commentator Steve Bannon on Monday on his show, “War Room,” about the Florida race. “That’s an issue.”
You have a thread to discuss that garbage Y'all act like that is the only story in the news. You show how bad you are losing when everything is about one point. It's all you got and there is not even as much to the story as your liberal press has sold to you. Imagine how this board would explode if a republican had referred to someone as Governor Hot Wheels. Jasmine Crockett gets a pass. Remember in 2016 when the press and this board were all over Trump for what they claimed was mocking a disabled reporter? Then everybody gives Crockett a pass for her Governor Hot Wheels comment.
Why does it matter who has the majority in the HOR or Senate, when DT unilaterally signs EOs and bypasses Congress?
without control of the house all he can do is veto stuff the house can impeach him and force the senate to spend lots of time on that instead of advancing maga agenda imagine what the recent CR would have looked like if the dems were in control of the HOR, much different
This coming from the party that laughed at a disabled reporter. The people who cried about DEI are now complaining about a wheelchair joke. Very strange
I don't know of a single person who laughed at a disabled reporter. I believe the story at the time was made up by the liberal press, Trump may or may not have been mocking the reporter, probably not. Regardless what Crockett said about Governor Abbott was just plain rude. My point was the dems got all up in arms about a made up claim that Trump mocked the reporter but give their own a pass when she flat out made fun of a crippled Governor.
are you serious? you really are misinformed if serious if you want to know, watch the video yourself, he calls him out and mimics his handicap Donald Trump under fire for mocking disabled reporter - BBC News
Assuming that is actually what he was doing which was debated at the time that doesn't excuse your girl Crockett who has not even been questioned before on too hot about calling a Governor in a wheelchair Governor Hot Wheels.
While I still think that Randy Fine will win the special election it's not close to a slam dunk and an upset is a real possibility GOP leaders raise alarm bells over a Florida special election in a deep-red district DeSantis says GOP candidate in Florida special election will underperform Democrats' chances of flipping House seat Trump won by 30 points: Poll Fine held a narrow lead, receiving support from 48.3 percent of the vote compared to 44.2 percent of respondents who said they plan to vote for Weil. Of those who have already voted, 51 percent went for Weil and 43.1 percent chose Fine, but 53.2 percent of those yet to vote plan on selecting Fine, and 38.4 percent plan want Weil, according to the poll.
Just stop. You voted for the guy who mocked him and you loved every minute of it. Stop pretending that Trump - and you - are representing some higher standard or that you don't love shit like this. Just go with it man. That's what you voted for. Why are you trying to pretend you actually care about these things?
LOL the title itself of the video you posted itself questions it. "Donald Trump appears to mock a reporters disability" LOL appears to.
