Just when you think the pitching staff is making progress. At a minimum need to rethink the closer role.
This is going to be same old bad ending. Pitchers fall apart in crunch time. Phil pot cruises along and we get the lead and wammo. Bad finish again.

As hard as it is for me to say the teams that we are playing are just much much better than us. Tennessee was head and shoulders better, Georgia was maybe even better than Tennessee, and Florida State is definitely heading in a different direction than us and having a great year to this point.
We struggle with pitching and hitting. Have had base running and fielding issues. Might as well include coaching in the list of disappointments. Nothing above average in the program right now.
Coaching decisions are horrendous this season we need better at bat strategy good grief what a bad season so far
This team's death spiral is accelerating. No toughness shown by our pitchers when everything is on the line. Disappointing
I mentioned this happening a couple of days ago and recalled a time when I believe we were swept to open the SEC schedule by Tennessee If I recall correctly. According to a good source Sully let em have it. If this hasn’t already happened, I would be very very disappointed after our showing against Tennessee and our biggest rival in UGA. At this point, we have to see some different guys play in the everyday lineup. The drop and lift flyball swings and never seeing line drives are getting very concerning. Pitching wise not much better as we look very tight.

Scratch that Stricklin should make Sully walk home too. Actually the boosters should make Stricklin walk too. You know what, the boosters and fans should walk too, let's all walk home and think about what we have done. Sorry for the ramble, but I feel better now.
Sully sez: Lead off walks - had him 0-2 had 9th inning lined up 7,8,9 hitters we managed bullpen as best we could All we had to do was get 3 outs and Philpot couldn't got to change some roles and we will do that this weekend against UM A win like this could have turned our season around.
All that shows us is that Philpot isn’t ready for the spotlight mentally yet. Hopefully it will be a learning experience and he can grow from it. Was hoping this game could be a turning point in our season…not the turning point I was hoping for!
