Phones are provided to high ranking officials to enable them to communicate in a secure fashion. Those phones can be used in the US and abroad
I would disagree witth “any teenager with any skills” but yes, communication using Signsl is advertised as a secure way to communicate but it is far from secure
One of the less noticed parts of this: Ratcliffe included a covert CIA operative into the chat by name, naming them as they were putting together the chat as another person from CIA that needs to be part of this.
The issue isn’t the level of difficulty. Setting up a chat using proper channels is similar to setting up a chat using iMessage. But getting to the access point using the proper channels requires more effort. Especially if, for example, you want to chat with 10 people and 5 can easily get access and 5 can’t. But all 10 can get to their phones. I do find it unlikely that any of them downloaded the app in order to participate in the group chat so they must have previously been using it. But there’s never a good excuse for using improper channels to discuss classified information.
No. There isn't. And this is clownshow shit compared to literally every administration that preceded this one, including Trump's first term. Thanks to the "RINOS" who "held him back", I guess. HINT: Those "RINOS" are the only reason the first term is considered successful. And every single day of this clown car nonsense further proves this point.
Woman apparently. Goldberg hasn't outed her, but can't imagine that they can continue to risk her in a covert position.
Not reprimanded, fired. This is a dismissal level screw-up. Trump should fire Waltz, and reprimand the rest, for inexcusable cluelessness, and for embarrassing him, the greatest president ever.
For Europeans, Signal chat gives unfiltered view of Trump team’s disdain European officials saw the screenshots as more proof in private of what the Trump team has indicated in public: scorn for America’s traditional allies. https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2025/03/25/trump-administration-europe-signal-chat-leak/
looks line the Atlantic writer is already walking back his story The Atlantic's Signal Story Is Quickly Falling Apart
In what way, specifically, is he walking it back? He stated in the video clip that the chat contained operational details (which weapons would be used, targets, sequencing, etc.). This was consistent with the claim made initially.
They're flailing to spin this and it just gets more embarrassing each time. Names of individual targets to be killed, the timing of the attack, the weapons that would be used, and sequence of events....you don't think that constitutes a war plan? You don't think that information would be classified? You don't think that information would be valuable and could be used against us in the wrong hands?
like I said the writer is walking back his story - I will wait to see the actual texts and hope the entire conversation is released
What specific claim is he not making now that he made before? That is the basis of a claim of "walking back," so this should be an easy question to answer.
