Unfortunately he won’t be around here for too much longer so let’s get as much as we can. Im already hearing stuff

 

We’ll know by how recruiting goes the week or two after this tournament whether it will be this offseason or next. I wish we could keep him but alas not everyone wants to be in Gainesville forever.

 

I didn’t get to see the entire game.
It wouldn’t have made any difference. I am not an A-list college basketball coach.
I read that we trailed until five minutes to go.
I read the box scores and saw the percentages of both teams shooting.

my personal opinion
This was a street fight. Neither team was “performing” at superior levels..on paper.
Still..the ultimate judge is THE SCOREBOARD.
That judge showed we were LEADING BY FIVE as the final allowed shot went sailing through the ozone and brought the final score to our two point victory.
I won’t bother attempting to explain three non calls in our favor in the final two minutes. Another topic. Keener minds than my burnt out husk of a brain can explain the ineptitudes of the officials.

so..everybody can have their say about every imagined area we MUST DO BETTER or we will lose blah blah blah. Opinions are the medium of exchange here. Have at it. Every game we get to play is one more chance to lose..OR WIN.
Period.

p.s. we contacted Tim Tebow and told him we are “forfeiting” a win over South Carolina way back in his day, due to a last minute block of a field goal attempt. I mean, we didn’t win by enough. we just didn’t want him to read about it online and not get a heads up.

 

100% agree about the betting.
Never really did it but have been as of late on the hard rock app.

So far I’ve done pretty well betting on UF. Betting the spread is too nerve wracking to me.
Got lucky to get the over for UF points yesterday.
Also made a bet to win the SEC after we beat Aub that paid off. Bet UF to win it all that day too I got odds, fingers crossed so I’ll be extra happy.

Sometimes I will post "something" at the half (usually more football than basketball) but usually I just stay away these days from gameday threads in the heat of battle. I realize that "fan" is short for "fanatic", but still, the bi-polarity that manifests is hard to stay focused on the game. Yeah, I concur. Other than their wunderkind finally waking up and hitting some big shots coming down the stretch, they had plenty of open looks that were not falling. So did we, just that if you want to shock the world, you need to hit them much more.
