SF is a Thursday/Saturday site. Time will be announced sometime late tonight after all games finish.

I was giving up hope, all signs dark, all whispers mumbles, when I realized today March 23 is my lucky day (ETS day). No way we lose. ...

Lived in SFla at the time, got a sweet ticket from my boss who was a cane booster. Great memory.

 

Wow. Had the game recorded and on West Coast so just watched it! What a heart pounding game.

At the end of the game I don’t care what anyone says those refs were just goofy. I mean they checked the what shoulda been the end when Clayton took a 3 5’ off the perimeter. I’m also not a fan of changing the way you look at time at the end of the game. Call the game the same all game.

once I thought we had the game in hand they were calling anything and everything to get UConn the ball with no time to go.

I love the way the Gators imposed their Will (pun intended) and then Clayton hitting that 3 shoulda been the end of the game.

I mean how do they call that foul on Clayton when Mcneally was running forward and Clayton had his back to him. Granted Clayton shouldn’t even have been there but redic foul.

Sweet when Martin dunked the ball after Condon I think missed both free throws. Score was closer than it should have been but I like how we didn’t give in and looked like us when it counted!

This team has MOXY to spare but can’t get cocky. I said before the SEC tourney that this team will never lose another game and I got one optimistic rating and maybe so but just a few games away.

Uconn was a well coached, team and one of our tougher games. I think it ended up good for us, and not just for the win but for the lessons.

Some great late play to win it.

GO GATORS! Shew.

 

Beating UConn in the tourney was cathartic.

 

To me it was almost cardiac.

 

Too bad we beat the Fuskies!

 

Yeah, I couldn’t believe they called that on chinyelu.

An off game from Condon, 3-8 FT's & 5 points. Chinyelu looked good but only played 15 minutes, although at least 1 BS call forced him to sit. Still, he needs to try & stay out of foul trouble. Handlogten only played 10 minutes so hard to judge except for a bad TO in the 1st half. Need bigs overall to play better, especially Condon needs a bounce back game. 22-34 FT's is not going to get it done in the Sweet 16. Still, great to get the win on an off game overall. A lot of things to work on for Thursday's game.

Came home and rewatched the game as I was stuck at my daughter’s dance competition all day (thank goodness for good wifi). Condon not only frustrated me in this game but several recently.

He plays very soft on the offensive end. I get things go through the guards especially Clayton but he rarely looks like he wants to score. He’s quite bad at getting into position on the low post…dude needs to learn how to use his butt and hips more to seal off the defender. I was glad he got his act together to contribute something though the free throw shooting is pathetic.

I’m amazed at how many times the bigs (not named Haugh) forgot to leave their feet to get a damn rebound. Offensive rebounds should be few and far between against the Gators given their size but they didn’t use that very well today.

Saw way too much dribbling today. The quickest way to get from point A to point B is a pass. How many times did then guards miss a wide open big in these last two games because they were too busy dribbling? Glad Klavzar didn’t see the floor in the second half…he’s looked lost for weeks now and has pretty much gone ice cold shooting the three.

Like many have said, the goal is to win and advance but play like today will only get you so far and that ain’t the championship.

 

Give UConn credit….they kept constantly rotating and we barely could pick up the switches. Had a hard time defending them. We’ve not seen a rotating offense like that all season…at least not one as efficient. That said, our three guards saved the game, and Tommy Hustle sank the two most important free throws all season.

 

It was clearly a foul on Clayton
