They only hit 38% and 28% of their shots while we hit 46% and 47%.

If we even hit 50% of our missed FTs this isn't even close.

Even our first championship team was trailing Georgetown with less than a minute to play.

The teary-eyed drama queen thing and use of the word "honor" a half-dozen times is a bit much for me too. The world knows that loss hurt but have some damn dignity. For cryin' out loud.

Um, is it safe to come inside? You know, it is ALL about the drive-by shootings of "innocent" individuals such as me. HAVE MERCY!!!

IMO, this team had a bit of false bravado in their collective - and even individual - psyches and UConn exposed it. Not that they were REALLY good, but they took what they had, and that was to try to win a game with guile instead of pure talent. Gotta give them props for playing the old "Ropa Dope" in this game. Thank GOD we were not George Foreman in this game (BTW, RIP and thanks for the memories big fella).

If I am Todd this week, I would spend a LOT of time in the film room showing all the guys where they screwed up ROYALLY from what got them the SEC tourney championship. Really, the only thing this game was about, besides some good/opportunistic shots, was that UConn was residing REALLY well in our heads. Again, major props for them to execute what was about their only viable gameplan. And to another thread, I think I have given Clayton the 1b position for the Gator GOAT. No Clayton, no win. I truly believe this.

Seniors and guards are supposed to be THE reason for success in the tourney. And senior guards who lead and calm the storm is HUGE. Again, thanks a BUNCH, Walter!
