Absolutely screwed by the ncaa with this matchup. Not only that but the tourney has sucked this year. One of the worst FG and 3pt percentage 1st rounds, hardly any last second games/ whole thing has been bad.

 

Had a foul to give there. Grab him before he shoots.

Coach Golden needs to figure something out at half.

The ony big doing anything right now isn't really even a "big".

 

Anyone who came into this not expecting UConn’s best has never watched CBB in March before. They already believed. They will win if we don’t come out and take it. They will play even better 2nd half. We better too.

 

Balls don't always bounce your way, but talent and physical prowess are things that you come to the game with and possess throughout. We are the more talented team and the physically superior team. UConn is hanging by a thread. We will get them in the second half.

This is the best possible scenario for UConn. They have forced us to realize that this will not be easy. Taking them out will be that much more sweeter.

 

We got to stop switching all the time on and off ball screens. Too many breakdowns and confusion leading to easy looks.

 

Not to mention how extremely unlikable that guy is.

 

Lack of rebounds especially on Def= no fast break points.

 

They are pressing our guards and keeping us from getting into our high/low offense, which is disrupting everything on the offensive end. They, also, have 9 offensive rebounds and are simply outplyaing us through the first half. Martin has been tremendous, but the rest of the team needs to wake up. I liked what one of the pre-game commentators said about UNCONN's approach. He said they are not looking at this game as them going up against a #1 seed. Their attitude is that it's up to Florida to knock off the 2-time defending national champs. And that is kind of the way both teams played the first half. They were more confident than us. Time for Todd Golden's famous half time speech and adjustments.

This sucks. Turnovers, giving up O boards, and can’t make our shots outside of Martin/Clayton.

 

We are lucky Martin is going off.

 

This UConn team is shooting 30%. We have 9 turnovers and are playing sloppy. Any 8 seed would be in this game right now. They are seeded properly. This is on us.

 

We haven’t tried to feed him. One of the last possessions, he was posting up on mcneelie and getting mugged. If we gave him the ball, it would have been a foul at minimum.

 

This will test Golden’s coaching mettle. UConn really extending on the perimeter, and running some good action offensively.
Let’s see if we can find the weak spots. I think early.. our passing got them off balance and some rim opportunities. We’ve settled since. Very little interior work. That has to change.
