Fair point. If or second team is in they'll play just as hard as the first, I'm sure.

Hopefully this time we don’t need a near full court heave to beat a 16 seed, though. Lol.

We needed a last second bucket to beat Butler in Round 1 in 2001. That worked out pretty well, although this year I might be disappointed if we don't win it all. I blame the team for being so good my expectations are now unrealistic and unhealthy. Such is the life of a fan.

We’ve only scored 100 twice (against UK and Bama in the semis), never against mid or low major. Close against UNF and USF, but I don’t see that against a Norfolk team that plays relatively slow (220s nationally).

I agree with those who think this game is probably closer than expected in the first half, then we open it up in the second half and play the bench heavier at the end.

Play well or go home! That's why the ncaa's is the best sporting event of the year. Anyone can beat anyone and no matter your record you go home. Gators 88 Norfolk 69

It’s the lowest spread of all the 1 vs 16 matchups, tied with Houston. Lol. The point spreads are exceptionally large in these matchups this year, probably because on paper this is the strongest set of 1 seeds in a long time. To compare, the year Virginia lost to UMBC they were a 20 point favorite and Purdue was a 23 point favorite against FDU.

Hell yeah, most fans watch angry, especially when the officials suck. Coaching angry seems normal to me, all my coaches growing up were angry 98% of the time.

Every coach is looking for a motivational edge. Just look at Goldens comments about us feeling disrespected that we didn't get the overall #1 seed (he's not wrong, btw).

If UF plays halfway decent, it's 20. If they play well, it's 30+.

The spread seems a bit much, but HC Jones might not want to encourage UF to justify it.

Wasn't there an LSU football coach (defensive coordinator) that gave clinics on how to stop Spurrier after we only put 28 on them one year, so we put 50+ on them the next year and Spurrier says "I guess they won't be giving any more clinics on us." We need that attitude from Golden. I think he has it. Go for the jugular every game.

A high-teens to low-twenties win with no injuries and plenty of time and points off the bench would suit me fine. I'm not sure a 40+ point romp would help us that much. I'd personally rather get some strong bench time/play, with some back benchers getting time toward the end if possible. I want a solid convincing win that sustains our momentum and improves our level of readiness with a really solid technical performance all the way around. Is that too much to ask?!:p

Love that dude. We've got a lot of guys that love being Gators but he's on another level. A kid who grew up with a Gators lunchbox, surrounded by lions.
