Georgia & Texas did not deserve bids to March Madness, IMO. Gonzaga embarrassed them, Although I thought the Zags were underseeded - should have been a 5 or 6. Omaha giving St. Johns all they can handle as a #15 seed.
Was was worried about St. Johns and Rick Pitino when I first saw the brackets. Texas Tech as well. But Arkansas scares me now. They are finally healthy for the first time in a long time and can be dangerous. They will give St. Johns all they can handle on Saturday. Houston was the team that impressed me most today. They are really good.
No. 10 Arkansas leaves fewer than 1 percent of brackets perfect https://www.ncaa.com/live-updates/b...ect-ncaa-brackets-are-left-2025-march-madness
There was no way I was picking Ga to win just one game. I was right. They should not have been selected. Speaking of Mike White, I lost any respect for him for taking his foot off the gas against Liberty Mutual, Oral Fixation College or one of those wannabe schools. We were mashing them senseless in the second half and he just lets up, we lose momentum, and lose and I get drunk and throw things and pets around the house. I suppose I should let this go….
To me, it is not that many of the SEC teams would win every game, at least the first round, but rather how in the H__L can they play that kind of schedule and then just look THAT bad in the tourney? Lose it in the end because, but to look bad 1) when you looked good most of the game and then went back to the hotel around the middle of the second half or 2) you never left the hotel? Just plain silly.
I didn’t watch the Mizziu game but if they are cold, and they can’t push an opponent around, they are cooked. I can’t stand the way they play; they cross the line of physicality all the time. They should not be allowed to get away with it. Except for our natural rivals, I abhor Missouri basketball the most, if you can call it that. I believe their coach came from Leonard Hamilton’s mentorship, which partly explains why they play bully-ball and are going nowhere fast.
Yep. Those should have gone to West Virginia and the next one out. Mizzou disappointed me. Underachieved when the spotlight was on them (but damn they beat us in our house). The 04s hated playing SC and SC didn't go to the big dance but at least they won the NIT. I'm not sure Georgia would have made it out of the 1st weekend in the NIT. Nor Mizzou. How we lost to these posers is beyond me.
So the media is saying the SEC is disappointing because of how many teams didn't make it out of the gates as higher seeds, but that the ACC completely stumbled out of the gate with only 2 ACC teams left, ironically Duke and UNC. I read one ESPN guru saying he didn't expect more than 2 SEC teams making it to the Elite 8, thought the SEC was overrated except for the 2 he picked. We'll see if he's right.
Meh, the weak SEC teams got beat. Still 6 to play today and only Miss St and Oklahoma give me the vibes that they’ll get beat.
