Completely agree. They should have been ranked higher than an 8 seed. They are 9th in Kenpom, 8th in NET and just beat ranked St. Mary's for the West Coast Championship, which i guess means nothing the way the committee works (something imo the committee needs to fix). To your point, I didn't want them in Florida's region and will be a tough game for Houston.

 

Clemson with 54 in the second half but lose by 2. Lol Second ACC team exits on the first day.

 

I still say that Dyke received a 1 seed based to a large degree on reputation rather than metrics. As of now Dyke and Upper Carolina are the two remaining ACC teams in the tournament and Carolina has a tough match with Geriatric Miss. Dyke may be the only ACC team in after the first round.

btw, calling UCLA to elite 8. They play Utah State. I’m in LA unfortunately and been watching them all season live. Also UCLA being in the mix is good luck thinking back to the 04’s. Calling it now. You’ll forget if I’m wrong and be amazed if I’m right.

 

I love Dickie V. My fav college announcer of all time. He was fun in person at the O Dome even in the early 1990s. It isn’t hate to tease him about him picking Duke. It is reality. Seems every game he announces over 30 years- including non Duke games - he goes on and on about Duke. I think he picks Duke to win even after they are eliminated. lol
