I have to admit (under NCbullgator15..lost my PW), I was skeptical of Clayton running the point. I was wrong. But I was also very bullish on Aberdeen and I was right. I always thought with the two additions: Martin and Chinyelu , we would contend for the championship. Defense wins championships. Go Gators!

If Condon returns, we'll have the best front line in the nation, bar none. And I expect him back.
So if we can pick up another top transfer guard to go with Aberdeen, Klavzar, and Brown, I expect us to be right back in the mix for a national title. They might not be the equal of this year's backcourt but they'll be good.
And we'll have two good freshmen (Lloyd and Alexander) to plug in too. Maybe one of those guys can even challenge for a starting job, but I'm always reluctant to lay too many expectations on freshmen.

    Right here
Indeed. I think we saw the potential power of friendship with the 04s. After the first title, they all stayed, even though one or two were lottery picks. After the second title, they all left even though Green wasn’t even a sure first rounder.

With NIL, it’s always possible that Condon comes back. There are definitely aspects of his game that he could round out, while playing with less pressure and becoming one of the better bigs in the country. That’s why Broome came back. We’ll see.

I am definitely prepared for us to take a step back. That’s just because this team has been so successful and had such good chemistry. You can’t replace the veteran guards overnight, at least not the way Golden wants to build his roster. We will likely have to experiment a little next season with guys at some different spots. We’ll be good, but not sure how good.

All that to say, I don’t even want to think about next year. This squad has been too much fun and has a chance for a big run, but there’s so little time left to watch them. Want to soak up each opportunity.

Not disagreeing with it, but I’d like to see the data they have backing that up.

Maybe I’m wrong but I didn’t take it that way. I thought he was completely agreeing with me. Maybe I’m wrong though

I agree with the beginning comments I get the Broome hype this year. The guy is kind of a force but reall he’s just a big player that has a decent BBall IQ. He feasted on teams that had to overextend themselves to guard him. But we showed everyone how to beat him with Condon being able to guard him solo. Broome is good but he isn’t THAT good.

he’s a 40 year old man in a 30 year olds body with a 24 year olds brain.

Somehow I think after a season like this, TG will almost have his pick of transfer guards. Plenty of playing time to offer, winning program, great team band of brothers atmosphere and the best conference in the country. TG has it rolling regarding roster construction. A very impressive coaching concept I did not anticipate when we hired him.

All of your posts in this thread were on point, but none was more prescient than this one on Haugh…
