    one step closer to crazy

have Congress strip the courts of their right to question the executive branch.

Ron DeSantis Proposes Solution to Stop the 'Sabotaging of President Trump’s Agenda' by Federal Judges

With that plain language undoubtedly in mind, Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida took to the social media platform X Wednesday morning to offer a historically plausible solution to the problem of inferior federal judges who have insisted upon "sabotaging" President Donald Trump's popular agenda.

"Congress has the authority to strip jurisdiction of the federal courts to decide these cases in the first place," DeSantis wrote.

Moreover, the governor noted that congressional Republicans dropped the ball on this issue.

"The sabotaging of President Trump’s agenda by 'resistance' judges was predictable -- why no jurisdiction-stripping bills tee’d up at the onset of this Congress?" DeSantis added.

They don’t really need them, when you think about it. It’s just 1 branch … they have 2 more!

He’s absolutely wrong. If the lower court gets it wrong, or a party thinks the court got it wrong, there’s an appeals process to a higher court. If you’re going to strip away the lower courts’ jurisdiction then more cases will funnel directly to the higher courts, more judges will be appointed to those positions, and we’re right back where we started.

For some reason I never heard conservatives complaining about Federal judges sabotaging the Executive Branch when a federal court invalidated Biden's EO mandating the Covid vax for all federal contractors or his EO on forgiveness of student loans or Obama's EO expanding DACA.

Jim Jordan is a prime example of gerrymandering. His district snakes through rural and some suburban areas of Northern and central Ohio completely excluding urban areas with minority voters.

I think this is called judicial stripping where Congress can limit the scope of cases courts can hear. Both sides like it but it’s rarely used because as good as it sounds it doesn’t work, and it’s a real pain in the butt to pass. The problem is Congress can’t stop the courts from hearing cases where Constitutional issues are involved. So I’m not sure there are cases that federal judges can’t take up since laws are either constitutional or unconstitutional.

Regarding Executive Orders the judicial branch has the power to review and interpret laws, including executive orders, and determine their constitutionality.
