Well, I am 0-2 in driving down to Gainesville to recapture my youth and show my son the glories of attending a Gator baseball game! Two rainouts, including tonight. At least I had not purchased a ticket yet, so that is some consolation. It seems to have turned into a perfect night for baseball. Maybe it will rain later on, but they could certainly be playing right now. Oh well. I've got one more opportunity in mid-March. On the bright side, I was able to roam around campus and marvel at how different everything is from the way it was 30 years ago.
Just read on another site that Frank Menendez is out for the season with an elbow injury. He was the only experienced lefty in our bullpen and Coach O'Sullivan had said he was in great shape and had taken the next step in development. Had pitched well in his 7 IP so far, but hadn't thrown since March 5.
Frank did not look hurt last night but...you never know. By the way, Luke's speed reminds me of Teddy Foster and his speed. Never caught stealing in the five times he tried...in his career. Bobby may need to be moved down in the lineup, but we need him at third. Foxy is snake bit.
I think giving Boser the FAMU game off could be beneficial. Let him kinda reset. Stripling or Lawson could play 3B.
Didn’t mean to confuse anyone, but I just modified the original game thread started in Feb. Disregard earlier comments about the game being cancelled.
Someone please notify 74Nole .. he keeps calling me to find clarification. He said Gator Gal has got him a quandary
