The question remains on how Jade ended up at OSU instead of UF.

Ellie Lazzari has been added to UF's injury list on College Gym News:

Injury Updates - College Gym News

    Florida

Kayla DiCello Long term Torn right Achilles, left lower leg surgery 06/28/24

Kaylee Bluffstone Unknown Back injury 01/08/25

Sloane Blakely Long term Left lower leg injury and surgery 02/24/25

Ellie Lazzari Unknown Knee injury (side unknown) 03/15/25

Report first made by gatorgym_pics who sometimes posts here:

I remember the promising freshman doing so well and then it all changed when Ellie tore her Achilles heel. It's sad to see her UF career likely end with a knee injury.

This jerk writer at College Gym News is a major Gator Hater:

The Dismount: Week 11 - College Gym News

    Meet of the Week

    Kentucky at Florida

With multiple perfect 10s and questionable judging, this meet delivered exactly what fans expect when tuning into a highly ranked SEC dual. The Gators got an easy win thanks to their trio of perfect 10s, with Danie Ferris sticking a Yurchenko one and a half on vault for the first 10 of her career, Selena Harris-Miranda notching her first on beam, and superstar Leanne Wong finishing the night with perfection on floor. All elevated Florida to the nation’s highest score of the year—198.625—firmly cementing itself amongst the title favorites entering the postseason.

My response to this guy who regularly takes shots at the Gators:

Buy a clue. You clearly didn’t watch the UF meet to bring up “questionable judging."

Your bias against Florida flows strongly. Even if the judging was a bit loose which it wasn’t, it’s hypocritical to think it didn’t happen at the other senior night final home meets of the season where scores were incredibly high.

You put UCLA over Florida in your last power ranking. I guess your anti-Florida bias will allow you to put Utah ahead of the Gators this week. Never mind that all of the stats favor Florida plus the Gators beat the Red Rocks in a neutral site meet at West Virginia.

I know UCLA’s top gymnast performed after falling off a scooter, but Utah was the better team anyway. I’d say it was a senior night last home meet of the season scoring for Utah, but the Red Rocks have the sweet deal of hosting the Big 12 tournament and an NCAA regional right through to nationals.

Alabama has the same sweet deal with the SECs in B’ham and hosting an NCAA regional, but the Tide isn’t good enough to take advantage of their sweet deal.

I think Florida should petition to have the 2026 SECs in Gainesville. LSU got that gift last year by having the SECs in New Orleans. For anyone who thinks that wasn’t a major advantage LSU, I have some swamp land in Florida that I’m willing to make you a good deal on.

This isn’t going to be posted so I went ahead and touched all of the bases.

SEC tournament seeding, brackets, date, session times, and television information:

Seeding set for 2025 SEC Gymnastics Championships - Southeastern Conference

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (March 17, 2025) – The seeding has been set for the 2025 Southeastern Conference Gymnastics Championships.

Seeding for the SEC Gymnastics Championships is based on final regular-season Team National Qualifying Scores (NQS). The championships consist of a one-day team and all-around competition which includes the top eight teams. The ninth-place team does not qualify for the championships.

The 2025 SEC Gymnastics Championships will take place on Saturday, March 22 at Legacy Arena in Birmingham. Session I will feature seeds 5-8 at 2:30 p.m. CT, and Session II will feature seeds 1-4 at 7 p.m. CT. Both sessions of the championships will air live on SEC Network.

    Seed - Team - NQS - Sessions 1 & 2:

    1. Oklahoma 198.040
    2. LSU 198.005
    3. Florida 197.860
    4. Missouri 197.470

    5. Kentucky 197.315
    6. Georgia 197.210
    7. Auburn 197.170
    8. Alabama 197.160

Arkansas was given the middle finger salute by the SEC with only the announcement that SEC team 9 doesn't qualify for championships, team or individual.

I wish it had been Alabama at 9 just to watch the SEC brass squirm with the unrelenting bad press for leaving a blue blood out of the SEC championships.

Hopefully, the SEC will reconsider this rule after the 2025 season.

Rotations for Sessions 1 and 2:

    Gymnastics Championships - Southeastern Conference

    Session I: Seeds 5-8 - SEC Network - 2:30 p.m. CT

    ------------Vault-----Bars-----Beam-----Floor
Rotation 1 Kentucky Georgia Auburn Alabama
Rotation 2 Alabama Kentucky Georgia Auburn
Rotation 3 Auburn Alabama Kentucky Georgia
Rotation 4 Georgia Auburn Alabama Kentucky

    Session II: Seeds 1-4 - SEC Network - 7 p.m. CT

    ------------Vault-----Bars-----Beam-----Floor
Rotation 1 Oklahoma LSU Missouri Florida
Rotation 2 Florida Oklahoma LSU Missouri
Rotation 3 Missouri Florida Oklahoma LSU
Rotation 4 LSU Missouri Florida Oklahoma

The Gators are NQS ranked 2 on vault, 2 on bars, 2 on beam, and 4 on floor. While starting on floor looks like UF is getting its lowest event out of the way to start, I think you have to consider two things. First, the Gators having been steadily improving on floor across the course of the season. Second, the Gators had two disastrous beam team results at Arkansas and at Oklahoma. Finishing on beam seems like an advantage, but the Gators will have to prove it at a neutral site and against tremendous competition, just as tough as the national final. I hope there are no beam breaks under the stress of finishing on what many announcers describe as the event where the meet actually begins. I interpret that to mean meets are won and lost on the beam.

I believe the worst possible thing is to start on beam before you are warm, especially with a nervy beam team. I thought as the 3 seed UF would start on beam. Maybe they selected to start on floor to settle down?

So correct me if I'm wrong. Mizzou will 100% be in the NCAA tournament, but is not allowed to compete in the SEC "tournament." I don't know much, but I know that ain't right.
