Yeah, we are still firmly in FA stage and not the FO stage. We just keep introducing all these variables - like government job/contract losses, decline in tourism, tariff madness, consumer uncertainty, student loans going back to full repayments ... we are mixing up a fun little cocktail

Considering that they have been playing there 2 or 3 times a week since November and every show has been sold out I guess they are pretty popular. Not taylor swift popular but enough to sell out shows.

You wouldn't but the next time I'm in Orlando and there isn't a crowd somewhere I'll be shocked. I am there enough to notice that.

Two things come to mind the Don said if you entered the country illegally you will be leaving and he said he is going to rid the country of anti-semitism. So, no illegal aliens and no anti-semites that is Terrorist cheerleaders
No Iran apologists respond, thank you.

Historically regular gigs in Vegas = Fat Elvis territory (i.e. washed up nostalgia act)

I'm sure Epic will be packed and traffic is going to suck until the next decade or whenever they finish the I4 expansion

A 1% reduction is overall tourist traffic won't be seen on a day to day basis. But will be felt by the businesses that rely on tourism dollars. And a 1% drop is what is expected from the loss of international travelers.

A lot of people on the right are sure mad at Disney. I wonder if it has anything to do with that cartoon mouse humiliating and having his way with the Governor?

Phish sells out every show within minutes. Are they the hottest act in America?

Why should I care at all about low wage tourism jobs? Most of that money is being funneled to large corporations and investors. I don't care about their stocks or low wage jobs.

If your a foreign vacationer, go somewhere else. Bahamas, Cacos, there are plenty of better options than Florida for vacations. If you're an investor, you should be investing international. Not sure the US is a good place to put your money right now.

yeah that is why they delayed the release of the new Snow White - way too woke and the little people were unhappy they were not part of the movie. - Iger has tried to change things but it has been a slow process and they are still fighting wokism

Got to remember, these projects are in the works (and money spent) years in advance. Going to be interesting watching how it plays out moving forward.

Personally, I'm more annoyed by the lack of creativity (remakes of existing stories) than the wokeness. Like all things corporate, that's just a marketing angle. Why remake Snow White when the original is almost a literal work of art? It's like preferring AI Mona Lisa to the real thing. Corporate laziness. That's why.

Yep quite popular and the Sphere is a cool venue. We were in Vegas last fall to see Keith Urban and checked out the Sphere. Thought about going out to see the Eagles but have seen them a couple of times already.

    How was the concert/ experience?

lots of canadians have houses in SW Florida. best neighbors.

    pay full rate property taxes
here only about 4 months a year
no demand on infrastructure or other resources the other 8 months a year
no demand on public assistance in any form
brings money from elsewhere into the local economy when here
