Yes. We all want all those who opine here to be safe and not injure themselves typing, or paper cuts or heart palpitations over our head coach not leaving us for some savior who shall remain nameless. Our Father….
The more I read about this year's team the more excited for the 2025 season I become. This team is loaded with talent, and we seem to be gelling as a team/program with the right man at the top - Billy Napier.
I think we can all take a lesson from what we’re seeing from our basketball team. Impatient Gator fans wanted to run off TG before he had a chance to turn that team around - damn good thing that didn’t happen. Now consider how many more moving parts there are in a football team, and how it just might take a little longer to see results. On top of that, unlike TG, CBN inherited a disaster of a team. All key indicators are pointing in the positive direction. Both Gator teams have a similar personality in the selfless character of the players. That’s coaching. All Billy needs is time and support. Lets enjoy the ride. Go Gators
Natural high I had to edit my post five times to get it by our guest censors from The Ladies Home Journal. I salute myself . Laugh more Pi$$ in Everyone's Wheaties ..Less Keep smiling
Lagway's development and his health are the biggest factor to me. We had dbs fall like flies last year and still played ok back there towards the end the end. Qb cant do the same.
I am less worried about that depth than I was last year when Lyons went down. We have 4 guys in Banks, Lyons, Robinson, and Boireau who showed they are SEC quality rotation players or better, and Brown is in the same situation as Banks was last year, having a great physique but no proven production. Freshman Shivers has the size and strength to play this year. Then all of Sapp, James, and McCray have the size to slip inside in an emergency. Color me not concerned until we have a couple of season ending injuries to the top 4 guys inside. On the edges we have a lot of guys who have played extensively here or elsewhere and a real prospect freshman. It is pretty stacked regardless of losing Pyburn and searcy.
Nice, Kryptonite. Here's the depth chart from which you and all others here can evaluate our players. That chart is better than I thought as far as our D-line depth goes. Florida Football Class Breakdown - Inside The Gators
Okay, since this thread has Lagway in the front page pick it seems like the right place to present my question about Lagway. Is it me or is Lagway still growing, and does he seem taller than 6'3" that has been widely reported as his height? Look at him compared to Richardson in this pic below.
Respectfully disagree on this one. The writers here abouts are far mor likely to accentuate the negatives - while consistantly minimalizing the positives. Suggesting that there is a significant pro-Billy media segment, pre-disposed to propping him up as opposed to taking every possible shot at him and the program, strains credulity beyond the breaking point. I'm guessing you probably weren't entirely serious with this one.
He's wearing crocs. That bumbs him up an inch or two. He's still probably taller than AR. I woulldn't have thought that before this picture. So, yeah, you may be on to somethin'.
