He had it. Blue is responsible for two of those runs. Struck two guys out in his last inning that were not called. if blue even calls one of those strikes. It’s a completely different inning and outing. Did not give us strikes on the inner half that he gave them all day and that’s being kind.
If you only look at the statline and ignore the actual game sure. With a competent strike zone that's easily 3 innings, 1 run, 1 hit, 2 walks.
Heyman really upset at the 11 no call strikes today. And this from a kid you rarely have ever see emotion out of
You are 100% spot on, this blue has had a really really bad day and unfortunately it’s been against us. Not saying it’s purposeful, but he has certainly had a different zone for us as compared to them
So the home run double and all 4 walks were the ump's fault?!!. That's a pretty incredible position to take. I never have and never will buy into the idea that umps call games that favor every team we play over the Gators. But think what you want. We're all entitled to our opinions.
Years ago- I’m going back 15- we were swept early in SEC season. Sully had a closed door meeting that was very very intense. That team ended up going to the CWS. I’m hoping he has another one of those meetings
Yes, two of the walks were100% on the umpire. if he even calls one of those strikes, the inning is over and those runs don’t happen. When is the last time you saw Luke Heyman show any emotion?
that’s a great at bat by a young kid!! Right now, I’ll take anything that shows progress and even a little bit of emotion!
In more recent memory this series is reminding me a lot of the one we played at South Carolina in 2023. We got swept easily, including a pitchers duel that quickly turned into us getting mercied. That season turned out okay.
That sc team was not anywhere near as good as this toothless team either. It’s early, we have plenty of time to get going.
