We’re lucky it is a Saturday-Monday series. Had it been Friday-Sunday possibility Red might of pitched back to back days.
At least yall won't be dealing with as abd of weather that we will have up here and all the folks in Bama and Mississippi.
As much as it wants to make me throw up, I have to pull for Bama in the second game today and Sunday. Someone needs to take State down after the sweep last weekend and now off to a 4-0 start. I fear State much more than Bama which tells you how much Murph is destroying the program and whatever his legacy.
Now that their game is over since I know there are many Bama haters..... let's hope for the safety of all in the state tonight and tomorrow. Mississippi as well. Scary stuff.
Disappointing to see so many seats open today. Would love to have been there today cheering on the girls!
Really? I thought it looked pretty packed, at least by the third inning of the first game and before the wheels came off in the second game. There are player parent seats right behind home plate in the first few rows that often are not filled and there is the required visiting team allotment behind the 1B dugout. But people were standing deep behind the top row and the berm was full also.
There were quite a few empty, high quality seats. More than likely it was season ticket holders that couldn't be there.
First game was pretty full. Second, not so much. Not in the seats anyway. Bound to happen on a mid day double header.
Offensively I didn’t really like the overall approach yesterday. Didn’t leverage very many abs into our favor. Usually I like being somewhat aggressive early in counts but only when it’s YOUR pitch. Swung at too many pitchers pitches yesterday, got behind or quickly popped out. Too many stress free innings for Texas. That said Texas pitching was mostly really, really good.
Disappointed? Of course! But, look at the bright side. We have will have played 2 of the three series against the top 5 teams. If we can win Monday night we will be 3-3 in SEC play, exactly where you would expect us to be. Even if we lose game three, we are not out of it and have 12 days until we are back in SEC play and then it’s against Auburn. Keep the faith! Remember, it is much easier to get to OK City than win the SEC.
Yea they looked like they were indecisive as to what pitch they were looking for. Still give credit to Texas pitching, but we looked off.
Well, since I'm a card-carrying "sunshine pumper" I will point out that it is spring break for the students. The campus is a ghost town right now. Also, the general admission line to get in extended from the gate down Hull Road and onto Museum Drive over an hour before the gates opened.
Dont be suprsied if Gabi Garcia is going to get SEC freshman of the year for OU over Taylor. She had a big weekend against SC last week and continuing against Arkansas. Feasting off this rough pitching and building her conference numbers.
