Here's how evenly matched and really good these teams are in regards to D1 statistical rankings: Team BA - Texas #2 at .390 Florida #5 at .381 Team ERA - Florida #2 at 1.58 Texas #8 at 1.76 Fielding - Texas #23 at .975 Florida #32 at .973 Home Runs - Florida #1 with 58 Texas #9 with 40 On Base % - Texas #5 at .481 Florida #6 at .477 Sacrifice Flies - Texas tied at #2 with 17 Florida tied at #4 with 16 Slugging - Florida #1 at .700 Texas #5 at .663 Scoring - Florida #4 at 8.79 RPG Texas #6 at 8.56 RPG Stolen Bases - Florida #9 with 66 Texas #22 with 50 Strikeout to Walk Ratio - Texas #8 at 4.67 Florida #46 at 2.69 WHIP - Texas #2 at 0.87 Florida #17 at 1.08 Fewest Hits Per Game Allowed - Texas #3 at 4.32 Florida #12 at 5.23 This series is simply going to come down to execution, timely hitting and big plays. I just remember how they beat us like a drum in the WCWS last year and want our ladies to make a statement that we're just as good or better than them and that last year's 10-0, 5 inning beatdown was a fluke and not really reflective of a real difference between the 2 teams. Go Gators!!
I imagine we'll see a HEAVY dose of Kavan. I would not be surprised to see her all 3 games, whether she be the starting pitcher or coming in relief. The pitcher who shut us down last year is #4 in IP this year for them, so maybe we see her considering what she did to us last year but she somewhat has struggled. USF really knocked her around for 7 hits and 5 runs in 2 innings. I think Kavan starts game 1 and 3, meanwhile game 2 will be a pitch by committee.
Doubleheader Saturday, no game Sunday. No. 3 Florida and No. 2 Texas Series Adjusted - Florida Gators
Dang....gotta lug that other TV back into the family room again. Maybe I should just leave it there for a while.
Well, the Auburn catcher is freaking nuts and trying to make certain it is a three hour game even if it only goes five innings. After every pitch she crawls to her feet and strolls at least 3/4 of the way to the circle and tosses the ball underhand to the pitcher. More than half of the time she actually strolls all the way to the circle and hands the ball to the pitcher. Never seen anything like it. I don't know if there is a rule to make her stop but it is absurd.

Did Tim just say on the radio interview that Keagan was going on Monday night? I wasn't paying attention and only caught part of it.
