From College Gym News Article: Oklahoma played with its typically consistent lineups last week, with Danielle Sievers slotting into floor for Lily Pederson and Ava Siegfeldt returning to the beam lineup. It will be interesting to see if the Sooners do the same at Georgia, which has an undefeated home record thus far. With the chance for LSU to overtake first place in the national standings on the line no matter what Oklahoma scores, the Sooners will still want to put up a strong away number heading into SECs. KJ Kindler is trying to bring on 2 gymnasts late to help in the SECs and NCAAs as she has done in the past. However, these 2 gymnasts are not of the impact quality of those she has done this with in the past. I suspect the freshmen she invested the season in will end up being her better choices.
I just want this team to keep the positive momentum they've had for the last 2 weeks. Keep striving for improvement and consistency.
Best vault score all year, I think. McCusker hurt us on the bars. Got to be clean for the rest of the routine.
Danie Ferris with a 10 on the vault and now Selena Harris with a 10 on the beam. 49.650 on the beam. Score of 148.900 going to the floor exercise is excellent.
Kentucky is having a good meet with 148.150 after 3 routines. Just not good enough for tonight it appears.
198.625!! Incredible meet. Is this the best team score in the country this year? Has to be right up there.
Very suprised there weren't more posters on this thread tonight. I know baseball and basketball were playing, but this is the #3 team in the nation! Tremendous performance on Senior Night for these young ladies and they and their coach deserve a lot of praise and support.
Absolutely. We were in Nashville for the slug fest that the refs allowed Missouri to throw at us and kept up with the match with slow stats from the Gator website and an occasional text. Jenny and the girls were off the charts outstanding! Three tens and a 198.625! Oh my!
I was watching the basketball game, but we had a second TV in the room, so I caught most of the routines. Fantastic performance! Go Gators!
I try not to participate during the meets. Some folks have a way of overreacting to every little thing. I just don't enjoy reading or responding to those comments. The Gators did great last night so there was none of that going on. I had a plan to move to the basketball game that I recorded before having a chance to check the score. It was like I watched the basketball game live. I did check in on the baseball game in the top of the 6th. I'm sure you know by now how that bases loaded situation with one out ended. It was the losing point of the game for UF. Imagine had that been a timely hit.
198.625 earned on excellent performances by the team and three 10s. I think we saw the team's max potential last night. Kudos to UK too. Their ladies did very well scoring in the upper 197s on the road. They performed their hearts out in the last 2 events, but the meet was out of hand by then. 198.625 is the highest score of the 2025 season and UF's second highest score ever. I graded out Skye Blakely at 9.80 on the beam. She is a wowzer in putting in difficulty, but the college gymnastics judges don't seem to allow much for difficulty like the elite judges do. The mount and the 3 wolf turns were world class, better than Helen Hu's start at Missouri who specializes on beam. I had her marked down .1 for two bobbles at .05 each while on the beam and .1 when she didn't stick her dismount. I haven't checked to see what the judges scored her yet so I'll be checking my grading skill here. The important thing is that CJR let her do the exhibition which means Skye is medically cleared. UF just added more depth to the #1 beam team in the nation. Glad to see Skye working back. She'll be a world class AA in the 2026 season.
