Trump asks "who made these decisions" to allow other Countries to supply the US with electricity ... spoiler alert ... it was him. Trump whines about who signed deal to allow Canada to supply energy to the US – it was him
One man stood between Trump and a recession in his first term: Steven Mnuchin. Now there is no one in between Trump and his glorious recession--err, I mean tariffs. No one from Fox News has enough brains to prevent an economic calamity from striking America, but that's who Trump chose as his advisors in term two. His hero on tariffs, William McKinley, had to deal with one recession and one depression for a total of six years. One man stood between Trump and a recession. Now he's gone.
I’m just laughing at this train of thought: “Once we shifted to the income tax, what happened? Government grew, started spending, suddenly the only solution to maintain its size was to print more money. And what happens when you do that? Money loses value and you get higher prices, inflation, and you get expensive eggs. Thank you, DEI. I blame DEI.”
This is so cool, so mature and well-reasoned https://www.cnn.com/2025/03/13/business/alcohol-tariffs-eu-trump-trade-war/index.html
He’s mad that some other counties actually have leverage in negotiating trade with the US … he’s a big man baby that is unable to negotiate deals that benefit both parties. Also, Income tax isn't a tax if you are umemployed. Trump is about to do favors for a lot of people. Got to get ahead of it with the positive spin.
You laugh, but this absolutely makes sense to them, and they will 100% argue that income tax brackets are a form of DEI at some point
Trump views reciprocal tariffs as an attack on his manhood. He will destroy the US economy before backing off the tariffs. The alternative is the strategy that he used during his first time when he tweaked NAFTA called it the USMCA and claimed victory although that seems less likely now since he is much more unrestrained and unhinged this time around and apparently it's an article of faith with him that tariffs will result in the return of US manufacturing to the level of 60 years ago back when America was Great.
Well, that is false. https://edition.cnn.com/2025/03/10/politics/trump-canada-dairy-tariffs-fact-check/index.html
Straight spin. But much closer to complete BS. For starters, those tariffs were negotiated by Donald Trump in 2018. So if you don't like them, blame the POTUS. More importantly, those tariffs would only be enacted if the US exports exceeded a pre-determined amount. Something that hasn't even come close to happening.
goods made with steel, aluminum, lumber; cars, iphones, car INSURANCE!?!?! Dude does not seem to understand supply lines.
