A little human interest. I was headed into PT at OSMI, and who should I meet coming out? Taylor Shumaker. She said she just finished PT to keep her body healthy. When I went in, I asked my PT assistant if she had seen any SB players there. The assistant is Oakley Rasmussen, who has played soccer for the last three years. She is headed to the University of Utah to play soccer next season and then to PT school. She said there were 6 in there this morning, including Keagan. She and Jocey are friends as they attend the same LDS Church.
I've seen rumors being posted on other forums thst Keagen has a seaosn ending injury. I belive it is full bs, but has anyone else heard that?
I do not remember this being posted. Jocey has a sister that plays softball at Utah State after transferring from BYU.
That’s what I’ve heard from people the most, I just think the others are hopeful rumors from outside sources.
On his Podcast yesterday morning, Shane Matthews said Rothrock was going to be out about 2 weeks. He's wired in and a big softball fan.
Lemley from VA Tech throws a 7 inning complete game no hitter against UK...one walk from a perfect game. Final 2-0.
I got nothing. I've heard those rumors. Nothing confirmed. Last I specifically heard was she might be back for Texas and that was several weeks ago. But, then, not much comes out of this program. If she doesn't throw this weekend, it is time to start worrying.
Good win over UCF. I think two things we still have to work on is making the easy defensive plays (Drop foul ball from cahalan at A&M and the ground ball horltof threw high today) fix those and we are set. Another thing we have to work on is situational hitting. I think we are leaving too many runners on base and relying on the long ball too much (especially solo HRs). One thing I have noticed is that the players seem to swing on 2-0, 1-0 counts or when the pitcher just gave up a walk and we are swinging at the first pitch, would like to see players more patient during those ABs. i did not see Keagan in the dugout but I did tune in later in the game and others mentioned that she was there. Hope all is good! ON TO TEXAS!
Can’t please everyone. Popular sentiment in previous years was that we take too many pitches and were always behind in the count. Either too passive or too aggressive, with no in between it seems.
LOL, well I do think the early Thomas hitting coach years we were VERY VERY passive and took too many pitches. Ever since 2022, idk what switched but we have been very aggressive. I still think that 2023 team would have made the wcws if we had a consistent pitcher. Just saying i think the team has been aggressive on bad hitters count.
