Story goes that she was told to reconsider Mel's request to have his gun rights restored because he was a Trump friend. She said 'No' and was fired a few hours later. Justice Dept. Official Says She Was Fired After Opposing Restoring Mel Gibson’s Gun Rights - The New York Times The Justice Department’s pardon attorney was dismissed a day after she refused to recommend that the actor Mel Gibson, a prominent supporter of President Trump’s, should have his gun rights restored, according to the attorney and others familiar with the situation. “They sent it back to me saying, ‘We would like you to add Mel Gibson to this memo’,” she said. “He then essentially explained to me that Mel Gibson has a personal relationship with President Trump and that should be sufficient basis for me to make a recommendation and that I would be wise to make the recommendation,” she said. When she got there [back to her office], two building security officers were waiting to hand her a letter from Mr. Blanche firing her. They watched as she packed up some of her belongings into boxes and escorted her out of the building.
MAGA supporters will pretend this didn't happen. Of course, they might care if their friends or relatives were fired just for doing their jobs. But they don't care about that happening to other people. It's kind of like how they have very little zero concern for all of the people who Donald Trump sexually assaulted or raped.
Didn't this initially stem from a California restraining order case about domestic violence? Has he applied to have his gun rights restored in California, and has California taken a position? I'm not clear on the state versus federal issues here.
Wait...that anti-Semite is a friend of Trump, just like neo-Nazi Nick Fuentes, all of the Jew hating white nationalist members of his administration and the German neo-Nazi party the AFD? But wait once more...I thought Trump and the GOP were against anti-Semitism. Hmmm...
I am aware of that and know some personally. That said only if they tiptoe through the rules and illegal registrations and restrictions. Limited to what kind of gun and waiting periods to buy a new one.
If the law states someone convicted of domestic violence is barred from ownership , then that’s on Gibson. If it was a wrongful termination then I’m sure there are attorneys lining up pro bono to take it on.
I didn't say no one had guns. They don't have gun rights that they should by law. The State controls if they can have one, buy one and what kind. The rights they are afforded by the second amendment have been taken away. They even have laws and registration for buying ammo. You can get butt hurt all you want but I think California and their liberal rulers suck.
They should not have the right to violate a persons second amendment right. California does it all the time even ignoring court rulings.
There are almost half a million guns registered in CA each year which is more than 47 other states. Texas wins by having the most guns and the most gun deaths.
Laws are what Donald Trump says they are and if you disagree you will be fired and possibly investigated and charged. It is a clear pattern. Are you okay with that?
Please link where California authorities have ignored a court ruling. That doesn't include someone interpretation of a somewhat related ruling
