Free trade based on a deal that Trump negotiated and called “truly historic” and “the most important deal ever”, also.
Yea, ordinarily, Im a believer in buy and hold, index funds even selectively buying on the way down and it's always worked out to our benefit. Always a believer in the American economy l/t. Lightened up a bit last mont, taking profits but essentially doing the same now tho given the chaos on multiple fronts iit could be a long wait.. if the VIX shows consumers get scared for an extended period and they quit buying,, that long awaited recession will come quickly. Hope not..
Trump’s solution is to tells people to stop complaining about egg prices and don’t pay attention to your retirement savings evaporating…. This is like the economic version of the movie “don’t look up”.
even chocolate eggs, plastic eggs and platypus eggs are going up...not sure what has happened to all of this being free before I even get elected.
Yep, my BIL has owned a nice chunk of for awhile.. Dislikes Musk and wanted to sell, but didn't want to pay the capital gains. I guess that tax problem is quickly going away. His son was smarter, sold in Dec and never looked back.
It’s a very volatile stock. Anyone that bought more than 5+ years ago is still likely sitting on massive gains. But people who bought in the last 4? Eh. Some wild swings going nowhere. I guess if one timed it right, but at these levels there’s plenty of people now holding losses. A couple of months ago it was a participation trophy.
The American electorate deserves every bit of pain and anguish that is delivered. If you're going to be dumb, you gotta be tough...
Well, if countries don't stick to their agreements, what should Trump do? If Trump did nothing after they went back on their agreements, you would all be calling Trump weak. Can't have it both ways.
What agreement have they "gone back on?" There is a process for challenging compliance with international trade agreements. Perhaps you would like to provide an example of either Canada or Mexico violating USMCA?
Are "plunges" and "craters" good verbs in MAGA speak? Dow plunges more than 1,000 points, Nasdaq craters as recession fears batter stocks - CBS News U.S. stocks cratered Monday amid growing U.S. economic concerns and after President Trump declined to rule out a recession that investors worry could be triggered by his aggressive trade policies. After falling more than 1,000 points in afternoon trade, the Dow Jones Industrial Average ended at 41,911.71, down 890 points, or 2.1%.
Within the first six months of his second term Trump will have presided over a larger decline in the stock market than did Joe Biden during his entire four year term. Similarly the largest increase in the unemployment rate as well as the first decline in the GDP since the Covid lockdown during his first term and unlike Trump's first term, this time the cratering of the stock market, increase in unemployment and the drop in the GDP will be entirely on Trump. The Dear Leader and his MAGA cult will not be able to place the blame for his gross economic incompetence on a pandemic beyond his control.
I'm not sure you've been paying attention. It won't make any sense, and will be a complete fabrication, but this will somehow be framed to fall onto libtards or some marginalized group. And the followers will lap it up. Hopefully a small enough sub-section will be peeled away and help turn us before we hit the iceburg. We need to do it quick cause these traitors have slammed the throttle
