Toothpaste out of the tube. He just reset the talking point. Anymore "bigot" nonsense gets aimed tight back at him now.

It does show the hypocrisy of many on the left, (that they have defended something they really don't believe in deep down) and they are changing now with the winds of popular opinion

And any dem running against him (potus primary perhaps) know that Newsome has the popular position. So I doubt pushback will come. Many are probably relieved that someone opened the door for their own common sense opinion.

Should trans girls be allowed to play on boys sports?

This to me is like not clapping for the kid with cancer or the one admitted to the service academy. It may be political theatre or such a fringe issue as to be almost non-existent, but it’s bad optics and gives Republican’s something to make hay out of. It’s also in opposite to Newsom’s stance which shows there is a departure there.

It's not about unfair IRT the scoreboard and competition. It's about unfair IRT MEN taking spots for WOMEN who are denied OPPORTUNITY.

That is a Title IX issue and therefore a federal government issue.

Title IX is about giving equal opportunity. If you let anyone compete in women’s there will be very few if any women able to compete. That’s not true of men’s sports. How many trans men are breaking records? You can’t say the same for trans women.

Not if it takes away equal opportunity from boys.
But lets be honest, Title IX exists because women were being deprived of opportunity.

The entire bill is about competition and trans shaming. It is not about scholarships. A simple bill to categorize scholarships based on biological sex would meet zero resistance. Here is the bill.

You asked me what I would like the feds to do. I answered. Enforce Title IX. Don't let men take women's spots. That is my answer.

No trans athlete has ever received a scholarship. That swimming athlete was Ivy league not on scholarship. Now what? It's not about scholarships. Even you are flailing at figuring out what you want or how you would change the situation to avoid whatever it is you are avoiding.

To this day, no trans woman has ever received an athletic scholarship in the NCAA

So abortion rights isn't one of those hills? Maybe there's 4 hills, or maybe one of the three you listed goes away.

I'm confused. I never mentioned scholarships.

Ivy league schools do get Federal funding and therefore are subject to Title IX. Allowing a male swimmer to take a spot... Even a walk on spot from a female is a violation of Title IX

I haven't wavered on my opinion. To call it "flailing" isnt accurate.

The point is if you try to deal with everything the MAGA’s throw at you you’ll exhaust yourself. Find two or three things to hit hard and long, then when they hit you with the whataboutisms you can tell them they were wrong on the issues you’re hitting so why should voters think they’re not wrong on everything else?

I don’t know about that. My guess is there are a number of FTM athletes like Chris Mosier who successfully competed in triathlons as both female and then male.

Bad optics for Democrats? Do you realize that republicans have been getting pounded on that very thing? Trump had a cancer survivor put on display while he was literally cutting cancer funding. But you’re so upset we didn't celebrate your manipulative prop you're using to further wrench control and interest from middle class people who, given how hard they work, deserve a better life in the country they love and loyally support, but who will be sacrificed yet again to give billionaires an even greater pile of gold upon which to sit? Okay.

And just for the record, we understand republicans don't give a flip about the people you push out onto the public stage.

The very fact that this is an actual debate shows how radical the democrats can be.
    It’s a slippery ass slope.
You pretend not to see it to be a noble libbie I suppose.
The rest of the country is normal and sees you as the clown show, but not the funny kind…the scary kind.
    Sorry but there’s the truth.

We are debating whether there needs to be a LAW to regulate sports competition. It's stupid. Sports organizations can come up with their own rules. They should be fair and keep competitors safe.

You constantly express the inability to follow a simple line of debate and are full of nothing but insults. Yawn.
