I saw an interview of his about a month ago. The guy is intelligent, reasonable, and well spoken. I expect Trump to hate him. Carney has already said the US started the trade war and that Canada is not interested in the 51st state bullshit so I’m not expecting a change unless it’s from Trump.
Well, he graduated with a bachelor's degree in economics from Harvard University in 1988, going on to study at Oxford University, where he earned a master's degree in 1993 and a doctoral degree in 1995, so yeah Trump will hate him. Interesting is the Conservatives in Canada were riding high until Trump got elected, and then the Liberal Party got new life. Liberal Canadians say:

OT - we visited Oxford last December. I was left much more impressed than our visits to Duke or Yale. the selection process to get in there is rigorous, the list of world leaders that have graduated there is impressive. odd thing..if you aply to Oxford, you cannot apply to Cambridge, and vice versa

Canada wants to be part of Europe so badly. That once owned colony longs for the days when they were subjugated by Britain, and they still have that loyalty to them. It's an amazing mindset. I could not imagine longing to be a second rate subjugated people like they are. Let's seem being Britain's B!t@h... or being part of the greatest nation on Earth? Lol... interesting. But I'm just having fun. If someone tried to make my country their state, I would probably rise up too. Unless I lived in Alberta....
