I think it's beautiful that your former savior has led you to a newer, greater, oranger one who is so powerful and inspiring that you come here and distort the truth for him.

But your orange hero settled numerous cases for racist practices, as far back as 50 years ago. That makes him racist, according to your definition. (Never mind that you ignore the actual racist words that he says.)

This thread is hilarious. Bravo. Sorry I couldn’t chime in yesterday. I actually have a life and real work to get done but reading it this morning has been great.

Actually we are 3 for 3. That is my position. I think marriage is between a woman/man/God.

The states involvement is basically a money grab.

You are making my point. We were asked to convince. I spelled out why its not possible in this climate. I am no maga but I understand why they can never convince you and this quoted post is why.

I am of the Reagan mindset on immigration, but when i mention immigration reform, you fall back on Trump. So therefore your preconceived notion makes agreement impossible.

Do you just know nothing? Is it blissful? Actually seems kind of sad....

    https://www.politico.com/blogs/under-the-radar/2017/02/trump-fbi-files-discrimination-case-235067

A supervisor "told me that if a black person came to 2650 Ocean Parkway and inquired about an apartment for rent, and he, that is [redacted] was not there at the time, that I should tell him that the rent was twice as much as it really was, in order that he could not afford the apartment," the ex-doorman said.

In October 1973, the Civil Rights Division filed a lawsuit against Trump Management Company, Donald Trump and his father Fred Trump, alleging that African-Americans and Puerto Ricans were systematically excluded from apartments.

The Trumps and their company entered into a consent decree settling the litigation in 1975.

^ Hey look!!! He's guilty because he settled the case!!!! (Isn't that what you've been saying? :))

Again, not him! He (Trump) is not his father. I would never let my son take the heat for things I have done. So again, nice try. And do we really need to get into why your former president was racist and not his father? It isn't worth our time. So... Peace to you. I am going to get off of here and work today. Because I do have a life. :)

As a reminder, he settled a lawsuit brought by the federal government that he was denying housing to racial minorities. You said that is "losing" the suit, so he officially committed the action of racial discrimination in housing in an illegal manner. Seems pretty racist.

The suit was against Donald Trump, not just his father nor just the company.

I like this. Progress. We agree on a great deal here.

Really the only issue I take with your post is that I don't consider being against gay marriage as "homophobic". Again that is a co-opted word. No one has a "phobia" in this opinion.
It is a form of discrimination though, right or wrong, which frankly everyone has a level of allowance for depending on their likes and beliefs

I do think there are constitutional rights at play which may not align with my belief system and therefore the country is bound to the constitution.

I do not believe that gay couples are truly "married" before God, but they certainly can do whatever the state allows and call it whatever they want. That isn't homophobic.

Well let’s clear that issue up right now. I won’t use the word homophobic, but instead use the word discriminatory which is not unlike interracial marriage. I can’t find a single verse when taken into context that speaks against gay marriage, but the definition given by religious leaders is one man and one woman runs counter to biblical marriages with multiple wives and women sold into marriage. So you need to convince me the one man one woman is biblical and not doctrine.

So you are actually for gay marriage. It is just that, apparently, you view their marriage as being comprised of the legal aspects, but not the spiritual aspects of your religion.

Fair enough. Different people can have different views of marriage. Or religion.

Win, win, win. As long as the state doesn't discriminate against them (or anyone else, such as members of your religion).

What's the point of this. You think a video of someone getting killed or severely injured is funny?
