Another convincing win on the road FIRST time in school history 2 top 10 road victories in a season!! Alex Condon is a monster!!
Yet another all time Gator victory by this crew. IMO they are right there w 13-14 team and potentially better. This is a deeper team w similar chemistry. Tonight’s won makes a case for #1 overall.
I think we are the best team in the country when we are clicking (which is often). Will the interesting to see what the committee does with us. From the eyeball test we are a no brainer 1 seed. From a resume perspective teams like Alabama and Tennessee have more quad 1 wins. So it’ll be interesting to see what they will decide. Now if we win the SEC tourney we deserve to be the second overall seed imo. Auburn has number one locked up unless they lose at home to bama and then lose their opening game in Nashville. Even then, think I read they have 16 quad 1 wins. We have 7 for perspective. We do have a ton more quad 2 wins than the competition.
In CTG's press conference yesterday, someone asked how this team compares to the 2014 38-3 team, and said that Patric Young said that this year's team wouldn't score 60 points on his 2014 team. Todd said, "He was drunk talking." Got a big laugh.
I have heard this joke for years: We should give the panhandle to Alabama and improve both states. Much like Mike White going to Georgia and improving both programs.
Nope. Auburn has a better resume in spite of losing to UF at home. Now if they lose to Bama you might have a case. But Duke will get the overall #1 seed by dominating a pathetic ACC slate.
Florida is tied with the 2007 team for most regular season wins (26) and a chance to own it outright should the Gators win this saturday against Ole Miss!
Alabama and TN messed around and found out. The Gators MUST be higher than either of those teams. If the Gators win the SECt they have to be the #1 overall. They staked a claim to that already with tonight's victory on the road. Auburn has no business being #1 over the Gators, unless they win the SECt. We whipped that a$$.
I wrote "makes a case." Which team has two better wins that UF's? Duke Auburn - we whipped their ass Houston - maybe?
This team has more inside depth than the 13-14 team. That team had Patric but this team has a 4 headed monster inside.
In his press con two days ago, CTG said Sam Alexis could probably play now if needed, but the plan was to hold him out until the SEC tournament. Good plan, I think, and we'll have 5 bigs ready at that point. But it looks to me like Handlogten will be ahead of him in the rotation. Handles played just 9 minutes yesterday but grabbed 4 rebounds. That's on pace for double-digits if he got starter's minutes.
Beating a top 10 team on the road is indeed always going to be an all time win, evidenced by the fact that this the first time Florida has done it twice. #1 overall is still elusive. Auburn has this same win, beating Bama at Bama a couple weeks ago. In addition, Auburn has a cadre of great wins (listed by NET ranking): 3 neutral 5 home 6 away 9 neutral 13 home 15 away 17 neutral Here’s Florida’s top 25 wins: 1 away 5 home 6 away 23 home Three top 10 wins, with one over #1 away is awesome, but Auburn’s resume is just tough to match.
