Just amazing. After the mass and indiscriminate firing of the Vets by the Donny admin, they defend it by saying Vets are lazy and not fit to work. Just unreal. It’s not like they spent a moment to evaluate work performance, Trump just issued mass firing Tweets. LOL at all they vet Trump voters who believed Donny was just going to fire illegals and “drag queens”.

“We’re going to care for them in the right way, but perhaps they’re not fit to have a job at this moment, or not willing to come to work,” she said.

“And we can’t, you know, I wouldn’t take money from you and pay somebody and say sorry, you know … they’re not going to come to work,” Habba said. “It’s just not acceptable.”

Yeah, not everyone is meant to hold government jobs. It's sad for them, but that happens.

I’ve seen no evidence that Trump or anyone else evaluated their job performance. I just see EOs ordering mass, indiscriminate, firings. Now I see Trump officials trying to take the heat off themselves by making up a story about vets being lazy and unfit for jobs,

So you're uninformed. Got it. You haven't't seen anything about these jobs.

You mean like vets missing limbs, an eye, or in a wheelchair as a result of fighting to protect you? Way to support the troops comrade.

I’ve seen the E.O. Ordering mass and indiscriminate firings. I’ve seen Trump officials justify this by calling vets lazy and unfit for jobs. If you got something more to add, here is your chance to show me.

It's sad. Downsizing is not perfect.

He was told he was fired for performance after getting a raise and promotion a few weeks ago with great reviews. There was no work done to determine if his job was needed but more importantly his firing was illegal if he was performing. Trump used a loophole to fire probationary employes (recent hires and promotions) and claimed everyone of them was underperforming. That is not just disingenuous but illegal and not how you think it occured.

He says there was no thought behind the firings, it’s was just “chop and roll”, and showed his glowing performance review letters. Doesn’t fit the Trump narrative of only firing the lazy and unfit vets…

Yes, and your argument works both way. No performance by which to judge him on means that he has nothing to prove his worth.

    Like I said, downsizing hurts.

You know guys like that - take pride into their work and does a good job. And a combat vet. And trump& musk laugh when firing him, brag and make a X post.

this will not save us the money maga thinks it will. Low info voters.

You can’t have it both ways. If that’s what you believe, then both his firing letter (fired for poor performance) and Trump’s lawyers claims (lazy and unfit) are bald faced lies. Thanks for making my point.

No, you said he has no worth/proof, and I said, downsizing is sad for all... equally bad.

Actually, you were the one who said he had no worth because his recent promotion didn’t provide a long enough track record at his new position to judge him by. If what you said is true, then his firing letter and the reasons given by Trump’s lawyer are a lie designed to sway gullible into thinking this a good thing. Looks like it working.

I can see Rick is tagging me with “disagree”, but here is what he wrote in post #11, in case he tries to edit it…

“No performance by which to judge him on means that he has nothing to prove his worth.”

BTW, remember when “the terrible treatment and delays in VA benefits” was a major republican talking point? So Biden and Trump expanded the VA, and that talking point went away? Looks like it was nothing more than a talking point to republicans, they really don’t give a shit about the VA, as evidenced by today’s announcement.
