Yep, Cyr is the only one not really being pushed in the outfield right now (he’s also doing well pretty much everywhere but baserunning), but that can change quickly if three of the other dozen guys we’re using out there get hot. Lol

Infield-gonna be awfully hard to move lawson, boser, or shelton to the bench. Kurland’s injury is yielding a little room for someone else to get some work in there.

Lot of talent. Hope they thrive on competition. I’m sure glad I don’t have to make the lineups.

 

Here's what Perfect Game had to say about Lawson defensively (emphasis mine): "Primary shortstop with good hand quickness and a clean arm path. Quicker transfers and hand quickness. Good body control and can throw from multiple slots with accuracy."

Arm strength is notable in its absence. Whole thing reads like "future competent 2B".

 

That is kind of wacky.

UF is ranked in the SEC as follows:
4th in hits
2nd in doubles
4th in home runs
3rd in stolen bases
4th in total bases

So we can hit, hit for power, and run bases well.

 

That's a very high-quality problem to have.
