I personally had disproportionate joy in seeing that he ran faster than Etienne.

 

He'll yeah! Rooting for this kid (and against Etienne).

 

Reading on SI that Dike did well at his workout. Good for you Montrell.

 

Nice! I always liked Montrell and feel he was under appreciated.

 

Only by those who couldn't get over Etienne. The rest of us appreciated him for the entire time he was here.

 

Well, he was 2d string at UF for a reason. Probably many reasons.

 

4.31 is really fast electronic timed. In fact a tenth faster than Bond who was thought to be fastest in the SEC.

 

Never had Montrell figured for a burner. But good for him.

 

Always seemed strange to me that bowlegged guys could run fast.

 

Sort of like Emmitt. Not known as a burner, but rarely if ever run down from behind.

 

That reminds me of a funny story. I was sitting in the stands watching UF play MSU back when Emmitt was playing. I turned to my friend and said something like this: "You know Emmitt isn't a burner, but he's probably the best 20 yard back I've ever seen. We might never see him have a really super long TD run because he doesn't have elite top end speed." About 10 minutes later, he took off on a 96 yd TD yard jaunt.

 

I saw one manager evaluated Etienne and said he would be a steal for some team because he had the whole package…said he had outstanding hands, outstanding burst, outstanding top end speed, outstanding vision…on and on and then said outstanding blocking…whoa…so apparently the Jets love him.

I’ve heard you can knock a couple hundredths off your time by liberally applying Lume between your knees. May want to have @Endless Excuses weigh in on this seeing how he’s our board rep for the stuff

That would be a “Jets” move if there ever was a “jets” move. They could re-sign Rodgers because Etienne would provide that extra pass protection Aaron needs.
