In her defense, she was not thrown out due to lack of speed. She pulled up halfway between 1st and 2nd, apparently thinking the call was Ball 4 and not Ball 3. She turned back on the jets realizing her mistake, but was thrown out.

Ava Brown was warming up between games in the "Pitching Lab" (i.e. bullpen). She had a contraption on her left leg which was basically two bungie type straps running between a belt and her shoe.

Has anyone heard of such a thing? Does that suggest nursing a possible injury? She did come out to pitch for game two.

KSP update -- things look to be on time. Western Michigan just got run-ruled. FAMU police escort (sirens blaring for some reason) just arrived with the team bus. My money is on FAMU to get run ruled in the 11:30 game, resulting in our game starting on time. The Florida teams are playing last since its getaway day. Temperatures not bad, but there's a very cold wind.

 

The stats tracker for the Samford vs FAMU game is not working. Are they even playing?
