IT is clear to anyone who is not delusional that the influence of the United States is collapsing with each passing day. Dictators in Moscow, Beijing and Venezuela are overjoyed as the US destroys itself.

Former allies are starting to take a stand against the decaying United States. A US Navy Sub, the USS Delaware, was turned away by Haltbakk Bunkers (HB), when one of the Norway’s largest marine fuel suppliers, refused to refuel it.

The Norwegian's have more backbone than all of the spineless Republican politicians in the United States.

Hopefully Trump will make good on his threats to pull all our troops out of Europe. It would be good for all parties.

^^^ What I was going to say.

As the late Arnaud de Borchgrave said after the USSR dissolved, NATO should choose between
    1) Admitting Russia to the alliance
    2) Disbanding

Russia is no threat to Europe. NATO was a threat to Russia

NATO is an organization in search of a purpose

Yeah, the USS Delaware is propelled by a 210 megawatt nuclear reactor.

The only “refueling” it could need is that it carries a diesel generator as an emergency auxiliary power unit. That generator gets run somewhat regularly to maintain it, but that submarine (and literally every other submarine in the current U.S. fleet) can operate indefinitely without refueling at all, so “turning away” this particular boat is a pretty silly story.

Perhaps the boat's credit card was denied...

Not really. I mean, the sub intentionally had to surface with the intent to refuel and make the request. Being refused is the story, not that they could continue underway without the fuel.

If true as reported, hopefully Norway gets in front of it. Not a smart move and doesn’t help anyone.

“Earlier, the Daily Express reported that the large Norwegian oil company Haltbakk Bunkers, after a skirmish between US President Donald Trump and Vladimir Zelensky, refused to provide fuel to the US military based in Norway as an expression of support for Ukraine.

"We have seen reports expressing concern about the support of US Navy ships in Norway. This is not in line with the Norwegian Government's policy. I can confirm that all the requested support has been provided... The US military will continue to receive the supplies and support they need from Norway," the minister said in a statement posted on the Norwegian government's website. “

Well sure, that they did it is a story. But it’s ultimately little more than a political stunt (and one that makes very little sense at that).

They refused to refuel a boat that doesn’t actually have to be refueled in the first place and, somewhat ironically, by picking a nuclear attack sub in the Atlantic fleet to make the story of, are refusing to refuel a boat that exists pretty much entirely to track Russian missile submarines around the Atlantic in support of U.S. and European security and defense against the Russian nuclear arsenal.

It does not take long to realize this is about a Norwegian fuel supplier. That is all lol.

A fuel supplier that would be really interesting to learn how the USS Delaware needed. That said. The fuel supplier definitely does not want to refuel our Navy right now.

No, I understood why it got posted: “Orange Man Bad.” Just noting that it’s a largely meaningless political stunt and a silly story.

“refueling” is maybe a general term. food, water, coolants, maintenance of some kind, torpedos, beer. I have no idea but presume they need to come in occasionally. We chased off Navygator93 so can’t ask him.
