You are of course wrong if you think USAID provided all foreign assistance. Of course, I wouldn’t expect anything more from a liberal.

In fiscal 2023, USAID distributed nearly $43.8 billion in aid, about three of every five foreign-assistance dollars

Waiting for you to show that the amount the US "spent overseas" may in fact be in the trillions. Or even approach that.

Show us how what you said is true please. Or admit to being a liar.

The title of the thread is very deceptive. While Biden was undoubtedly the least articulate of modern presidents he wasn't the only president who wasn't very good at speaking off the cuff and let's remember that he had a problem with stuttering his whole life. Although President Reagan was able to deliver a scripted better than any other president in the television age he also wasn't very good at answering questions extemporaneously and like Biden his staff ensured that would have speak in unrehearsed situations very infrequently as indicated by the number of press conferences that he held during his eight years in office. While I would concede the Biden declined cognitively during his last year in office that probably wasn't true for his entire four year term.

Typical liberal. You are wrong but deny you are wrong by shifting the blame to someone else. I said billions.

The US has given out over $3.8 trillion in foreign aid (adjusted for inflation) since the end of World War II.

And now you're lying about what you actually said, and demonstrating your deficiency with understanding the most basic elements of the English language.

    You literally said :

    - billions if not trillions of dollars are no longer being sent overseas

In the first place, the progressive tense implies a continued action. In the second place "if not trillions" clearly implies that the amount still (as you stated) being sent (refresh yourself on that progressive tense, if needed) may in fact be in the trillions. Clearly that would not include anything that occurred over the last 80+ years.

What you literally said is clearly not true. That means that what you said is either your ignorant mistake, or your deliberate attempt to state something deceptive.

Look, it's all right if you just don't know what you're talking about. Just admit it. But it's not all right for you to try to lie to people who know better.

So which is it? Do you just not know anything about what you're talking about? Or are you trying to deceive people? To LIE, that is.

Funny thing is after Trump got destroyed in the 2020 election, whenever his name was brought up these characters on here were like “ugh why are you still talking about Trump? He’s no longer a threat. Republicans have moved on from him, why are you so worried about him? He’s irrelevant” yet now they’re obsessing over a president who is no longer in office and zero threat to anyone. Oh and their whole “Trump is not a threat, Republicans have moved on from him” gaslighting aged pretty badly too LOL

They would have had a primary though and I doubt that Harris would have won the nomination.

Robbing us blind? You must be very young or slept in history class because everyone who’s studied American history knows why we started with the Marshall plan and continued with the Truman Doctrine of 1947.

Typical MAGA thinking they’re right by just throwing out numbers without knowing the reason for those numbers.

I admit I was surprised and disappointed Biden decided to go for a second term when he led us to believe he was only going to be a one term president. My guess is some in his administration was giving him false polls much like some in Trump’s administration is telling him he’s winning…..by a lot. Who do you think would have won the Democratic primary?

When Joe Biden was deposed by Robert Hur in October 2023, Hur concluded that Biden was a “sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory,” I dismissed it as being a political hit piece.

Then I saw the presidential debate nightmare where Biden was clearly an elderly man with poor memory, and I was so pissed that my party had obfuscated just how bad Joe had deteriorated.

If I had known how bad Joe had become, I would have primaried someone else for the Democratic nominee. I still feel disenfranchised and have lost some trust in my party's political machinations.

This was an epic political con job and I feel I was conned.

From the same article you plagiarized that from, but nowhere does it say what you claim, but the spending was in Americas best interest..
“in fiscal 2023, $417.8 million went to counterterrorism efforts, $331.7 million toward combating the spread of weapons of mass destruction, and $126.5 million for fighting the narcotics trade. Most of the $16 billion in aid money directed to health-related projects is aimed at diseases such as HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria and influenza.”

What the data says about U.S. foreign aid

Our GDP in 2023 was 27 Trillion. Do you think the U.S. achieves that without strategic investments (including foreign aid) in other parts of the world?

At a very basic level, It's called making friends and influencing people - while also trying to be a good world citizen.
