Good move by CTW. Kara's performance was pretty good. That walk last inning wasn't good. But overall it sounded like she had good control - a much needed improvement from her last few appearances.

 

Stats never changed the pitcher to Ava as Crooks said. Crooks isn't a complete idiot. I trust him on this.

 

Gators walk it off in the bottom of the 6th wih an RBI Sac Fly from Cahalan. 9-1 final. Hammock with a 4-hitter and only 2 walks over 5 innings.

 

Actually stats has been wrong all night. It was a SAC rbi from Kenleigh with Taylor scoring from third.

Alright, I'm thinking Keagan starts against Troy. (You gotta start her at least one game this weekend, right?) Olivia against Western Michigan. (They are the worst of the bunch, right?) And then Red against FAMU on Sunday. Use Ava to close out as needed.

 

It was a very nice ceremony to commemorate CTW's 1000th win at UF.

The players threw out commemorative T-shirts. Sandman70 scored one with an assist from Scrappy.

 

Very true.

It was kind of unfortunate that it didn't come at a bigger game, with more fans in the stands, on a warmer night when casual fans might have lingered.

But regardless -- great accomplishment and cool tribute including player's video clips on the Jumbotron.

I think I can say this since no Florida A&M parents read this forum ... they are surprisingly bad and just poor decision making.

One example of many..
Play at the plate, Troy runner half-way from third running hard, A&M catcher gets the throw, steps on the plate and fires off to 2B for the out.

Except the play at the plate wasn't a force and there was only one out.
Run scores.

 

Why? Is she OK?
