Back to back errors to start the inning. Can't do that against good teams and expect to win.

There, apparently, is never going to be called a play "out of the basepath". I see it over and over and over where runners simply avoid a tag through wild avoidance. Texas hits a dribbler to first. The USF first baseman tries to tag the runner, who runs clear out of the "box" that exists heading to first. They call her safe and review it and still call her safe. I don't get it.

Reagan Walsh with an RBI double. Good to see her get a hard hit. Need her offense.

 

While I am on a rant. "Defensive Indifference". It is in the rule book. It is never scored that way. For instance, runners on first and third. Runner on first goes to second. No throw from the catcher. That is the definition of defensive indifference but it is always scored as a stolen base.

 

Sc score 6 runs in the top of the 4th to take a 6-1 lead. Curd started the game but was lifted after giving up 4 runs with the bases loaded.

 

5-4 USF. USC up 6-1 over a very good Duke team. Perhaps that coach USC got from Charlotte knows what she is doing.

 

Yeah, I got to admit SC looks good - defensively, offensively (with power), and pitching. I thought this was gonna be an off-year for them. I'm impressed.

 

I think Kara is out of gas. Great 3 innings. Given up 3 hits in the 4th so far.

 

Hammock worked out of bases loaded, 1 out by only giving up 1 run. And she walked that one in. Not bad. 7-1 UF

 

With a win tonight Walton would earn his 1,000th career win as a head coach.

 

Another RBI double for Walsh. Love it!

 

Something I thought but didn't mention the last game. I thought Sydney Littlejohn did a very good job as color commentator. Aleshia is Ok also. Both understand as a color commentator, you don't have to say some insipidly stupid comment after every pitch.

 

It will be his 1000th win at Florida. It would make him 1123-303 overall.
