I hope this info doesn’t get out to the hurricanes. No doubt they will come to Florida knowing there will be little resistance and unaware inhabitants.

The last one’s eye passed by about 3 to 5 miles south of me. Had 120 mph gusts and zero damage. Dodged a bullet.

So, think the current workforce is less competent than the new hires? Maybe we should fire more of them.

The hurricanes aren't cutting players. They're just getting bigger, stronger and faster.

Please don't confront typical question-trolling with actual logic.

In the MAGA metaphor, the NFL team of the hurricanes has also reduced their roster from 53 to 48 players.*

    * That also makes it OK for MAGA/DOGE/p25 leaders to flagrantly lie about whatever they want.

Doesn't it all make sense now?

I would assume the ones being cut are more like practice squad players and not top 3 round draft picks.

The sports analogy doesn’t work since only 11 are on the field at any one time. It’s more like asking a team to play with 9 or 10 men and expecting it won’t affect performance.

You use this argument for all layoffs?

What's the right number of employees at NOAA? How would Trump know on week 4 with zero work done on it and half his days spent in Florida playing golf? There has been zero effort to determine efficiency - see Avian Flu thread, see the Nuclear Scientist Thead. Its all a joke. I am just looking for competence.. foreign subject to many of you on here.

Why do college basketball teams need 15 players? They should cut down to 10. Would save a lot of money at colleges. Few teams play more than 10.

You know what would help you answer that? A study on the productivity of the NOAA with a report demonstrating what was being addressed. But instead you'll have to settle for a guy on stage with a chainsaw.

Is this your logic for all layoffs? You don't think any organization should ever reduce staff?

I did no research into how many people a basketball team needs and threw out a number that can be defended because it is now less. Anything you say about my suggestion I can accuse you of being uninterested in efficiency.

Have you ever worked in a large company that did layoffs? Cutting staff by some predetermined percent is common.

It seems to me a little bit that you all simply don't like this event because Trump is the one doing it.
