Stephanie and Tim rehabilitated Red in a manner that she was going to be available for SEC play. They did not rush her back. I applaud them for doing that. Because she is going to be needed in SEC play.
Well, yeah. But Heavener is a talent at LSU and she got fully roughed up against Southern Miss a couple days ago and as far as I know she hasn't missed any time throwing. Southern Miss ain't A&M.

Cruising thru the channels and found Heavener pitching LSU @ Fullerton. Was curious since she had been touted here. Bad game I guess, she didn't get out of the second inning, no hits, but 4 walks and they all scored. ERA now at 3.04. Might be LSU's first loss, down 2-4 after 3, titans with chance to blow it open bases loaded, no outs and nada tho.

She is really good. Or will be. Just goes to show it isn't easy jumping from high school, or elite travel, to college. Two bad outings for her. Control seems to be the problem. She walked four tonight. She walked four and hit four in something like three innings the other game. She beat Red in the State championship game although I don't know the details. Possibly Red's defense let her down, or something, and she lost 2-1. In any event, if Heavener wants to leave LSU anytime soon, I'll bet we would be glad to take her.

We're gonna see plenty of ups and downs with Oxley especially in conference I'm sure. As long as she continues to grow and the good outweighs the bad she will be fine. Resilience.
Just a comment. Doesn't need to be driven into the ground more than I am already doing. There are 18 televised games today involving SEC teams. Not UF.
Big games today Oklahoma State vs Nebraska. LSU vs Norte Dame. No TV. The problem seems to be the fact that UF has softball at 5:30 vs Samford, gymnastics at 5:45 vs #8 Missouri and baseball at 6:30 vs Miami. Doubtful that UF has the resources to broadcast three events almost at the same time. Gymnastics and baseball will be shown, softball relegated to radio.
